Aww that's a shame. Drink lots more fluids than normal as I find it really does help. xx

Oh no! @Sparklebrightisright62 , perhaps give the swimming a miss until you recover.
I won’t risk going to the pool if I am full of cold. No fair passing on to others, either, but more likely to get chest infection when I have a cold, especially getting home from the pool with wet hair, even though I wear a hat.
Rest and get better quickly.

Get well soon @Sparklebrightisright62 . I've had very bad exhaustion and kids off with bad colds. School kids are coughing and sneezing all over each other, it seems.
Bring back masks.

I have not had a cold for years, except for a few sneezes and sniffles.

My favourite remedy for getting rid of them was fresh squeezed lemon juice and spoon full of honey in hot water with a good slug of whisky mixed in as well.

Hi Riva,

I will have lemon & honey but not whiskey it is discustingly yuck.

There's a nasty cold going around, it reads as though it got you.
I had a thorough soaking two Thursdays ago, got a chill - and I am glad that I had the pneumonia jab a while back, because it has really knocked me down.
I had aches in my legs so I added turmeric to my scrambled eggs and a stew, and molly coddled myself with a fluffy blanket (himself is dreadful for stealing all the duvet overnight) so I am feeling better, but still coughing and sneezing after 2 weeks.
Not cheered up by the forecast of sudden cold weather either.
I really think this calls for chocolate - I am going to chop some nuts into slivers and embed them in Lidl's 95% cocoa chocolate, then eat some with fresh brewed coffee and cream. If I don't feel better after that then I suspect there is no hope.

Didn't know whether to give a like for the chocolate, or a hug for the coughing and sneezing!! Hope you completely recover soon.

I hope it went well for you. Is your cold clearing up as a few friends have suspected flu. Friends who aren't diabetic.

I wish I could try turmeric. I've been advised to not.
