Try roasting some cauliflower florets.
I know that sounds like an immediate disappointment,
it did to me,
but wow, they do the trick, doesn't even taste like cauli, they are addictive.

Snap them off
Brush them with oil,
20 mins electric oven at 200.
Really satisfying.

You might want to try Halloumi fries too - strips of Halloumi cut into ‘chip’ shapes and grilled or fried - air fried is best. Even better if you wrap them in bacon first.

Can't find it now but strangely I saw the same thing on the internet earlier this morning.
Whoever it was suggested dusting cauli with various herbs or spices as an option. Sounded good to me!

Very TRUE. I have taken to roasting/grilling/airfrying them in my NEW airfryer, did I tell you I had a NEW airfryer??? It's fabulous and so is the cauli. x

Yep I’m one for swede and courgette ‘chips’ too. Swede cooks in 10 mins if you zap it in the microwave for a few mins first. Courgette cooks in 10 mins anyway. I put mine in the air fryer (excellent machine!) at half time, when I turn over the chicken/sausages or whatever. Bit of oil, salt, pepper and maybe some garlic powder or a dash of cajun spice mix. Ohh I might try a bit of garam masala next time...

I am obviously a bit odd in that I don’t care for roasted cauli or sprouts.

Absolutely. Ninja health grill & air fryer, model AG301UK, cost me £150 just after Xmas but I think it's original price was £200, pricy I know but they do just airfryers too.. This, as you can see, is an airfryer/grill/oven all in one and it bakes too. Bacon (plus other things) is to die for in this!

I eat lots of cauliflower now.
But I also tried kohlrabi - a lowish carb root veg that works well in mash with half cauli or in small amounts roasted.

Yum! Looks like the very thing...maybe I should buy it as a belated 25th wedding anniversary present instead of the necklace and ring she requested. Might be a step too far ;)

Diet drinks - the artificial sweeteners taste vile.
Having to forswear foods I have loved all my life.
Trying to find low carb meals when eating out.
I like cauliflower as cauliflower.
Chips to me are some root vegetable variant for the shape and general texture.
Trying to be good at the moment.
