I'm really sorry that my post has offended you, @AloeSvea as it was definitely not my intention to criticise you. I don't find fasting easy if it's anything other than an extended overnight - just the opposite in fact. Every time I try, I'm usually very stressed. Sorry if I expressed myself badly
what is ketosis and how do you measure it?
Me too, prior to fasting I felt pretty heavy legged, but on the 16/8 I feel much lighter as I jog. Times are still pretty ******, but it's early days, just a few weeks since I started again.
A 15s per mile improvement is massive (obviously all relative and depending on what kind of mile pace but still good whatever).
That is interesting. I am guessing that the heavy legged feeling was insulin resistance. I get it too. You can, overtime discover if that is the case, by comparing heavy legs with carb/exercise/fasting incidents. And then use the feeling to gauge current IR levels.
I saw this article on hunger and though it would be interestng read for u guys.http://diabetesupdate.blogspot.co.uk/2007/08/hunger-is-symptom.html?m=1
It says being worried about being hungry raises your stress levels which in turn raises your blood sugar levels. I found this reassuring as im bloody starving on my first week of cutting out carbs to get better results. X
