ITV TONIGHT Programme on thursday 27th October 2016 - "Can Your Diet Defeat Diabetes?"

I face book friend requested Dr Aseem Malhorta and got accepted as a friend. He is doing so much to try and turn round nhs advice. Its so nice to be able to keep up with what he is doing.

Like the programme coming up, some Doctors and media are attracting some onterest now.

I just wonder how much interest persons that are "normal" really pay to programmes such as this though?

You just like to think a none diabetic friend or relative is interested to listen.

I'm of the great belief if things don't get shuck up in time for me at least my children's future health might be.
Even negative press will be used in the future to stop jumping to conclusions can do. Bad programme making will be humiliated later. Oh and dare I suggest damages to sufferers! I wish them good editing!

All I ask is that someone somewhere gets out the simple message "Most people with Type 2 diabetes can lower their Blood Glucose substantially by lowering the amount of carbohydrate foods they eat to less than 120 grams a day".
It's a simplistic message but no more so than "Bariatric surgery cures diabetes".

Yes - inside out tonight could be more interesting. We'll see. Enjoy viewing!

There was an interesting piece on the North of England programme tonight where Prof Taylor was interviewed. However, much else to confused and worry the uniniated and nothing on LCHF.

I also saw the Midlands programme and whilst most of it was poor, they did plug the help given by Diabetes.co.uk.forum
However there was no mention of LCHF.

Why can't they give T1's a separate programme...it is very different disease in treatment and unfair to T1's to muddy the waters with T2's.

With this much exposure, the truth will out, eventually.

Interesting in the mail today.. article stating that GPs are too afraid of upsetting patients than to tell them to lose weight or go on a referral scheme to weightwatchers.

So they don't mind sending for bariatric surgery though??

Something isn't right in our world that GPs should be scared of telling someone they are over weight.

I'm not saying overweight/diabetes are causes or caused by one or vice versa..

Just seeing the comment ref bariatric surgery made me think of GPs being scared.

I am also asking my GP Practice Manager tonight how many patients our GPs have referred for weight or exercise management.
