Who would have thought I'd manage to reach day 7 of not being sick ?? Its been one of the hardest weeks of my life. But ive done it!! I so proud of myself.ive eaten some smoked mackerel today and no egg for a change.Heres to week 2.!!! Yesterday wasnt too good as I was at hospital with my mum and didnt eat all day until we got home at 9pm.we left our home at 8 am so it was a very long day (the 2 hours driving each way tires me out!)my joints are playing up at the moment but I get my other new hip after xmas so the pain may ease. I went to see the doctor this morning and he's taken me off the steroids as I was only supposed to be taking them for 5 days.Ive been taking 6 per day for over 3 months!!! He said i will get lower blood/sugar results once the steroids are out of my system, they've all been over 10 and as high as 26 !!!! At least i'm feeling ok in myself.many thanks for all my messages of support x x

Its 8 but at least its single figures!!!

Jo, as has been mentioned to you by a number of folks already, the steroids you have been taking will be impacting on your blood scores, but as you already know, starving yourself doesn't help the situation either.

I think you've done extremely well to get yourself over the 7 day hump and find yourself looking forward a bit more positively. You should be proud.

Concentrate on each day as it comes, or set yourself modest targets; ranging in time spans you believe are achievable. Don't go setting yourself long, long terms goals just yet.

:) Keep going Jo!-Let us know how you are doing and keep asking if you have any questions that we may help you with.

I'm so pleased you have managed to stick with it . I know when I first started down this path I used to look at the numbers people were posting and thinking - there is no way I will EVER get a reading like that. Four months on and I can post those numbers too sometimes.

If you keep to this and you gradually lose the steroids out of your system, it will start to come together - you have done so well so far. Keep it up.

Well Done Jo, keep up the good work! :)

Congratulations on such amazing results. You've done really well. :)
