@EllieM ,
Thank you for sharing & oh my goodness, how annoyingly brief is that report.
Good to see indications low carb might be instrumental though.
I take a keener interest in such now.
Have an appointment for eye surgery at some point, (when they don't actually cancel it..

)
Mine wasn't T2D related, but I can't prove it (part of the RTA in my mind) but no one's willing to say yay or nay, for definite.
So I was left swing between anger it was the RTA & wallowing in how devious T2D is, and ways to combat any complications....( and the fact it may be just age related...eek )
Sure none are desirable , but vision is high on my list of things not to damage.
Fantastic that a forum such as this and it's lovely, inquisitive members share such snippets so others in need of such help can make informed decisions.
Had I not been DX'd & made fully aware of the damage carbs 'could' do to T2D's, I'd never have come across this in relation to my impaired vision.
No one mentioned diet to me in any shape, at my various eye appointments , though TBF that might be because of my type being operable, under certain conditions.
But I'd wager, even if low carb could have helped my condition, I rather doubt anyone would have considered advising me on it, if the Eatwell is anything to go by.
So I do feel sorry for others, where in some instances, such as this, there might well be 'other' options (aka diet, etc) that could be of benefit, that will, in all likelihood never be mentioned at any stage.
Long live the forum & posts such as yours
@MrsA2 .
