I hope so. I made it last week and froze half. I haven't used the frozen portions yet. I probably will next week and will let you know, but I wouldn't think there will be any problem. It is nice.Do you think this would freeze ok @ewelina ? I was thinking of making it for a buffet on Boxing Day but would need to make it at the weekend before Christmas
I have never frozen it so cant advice im afraid. You can freeze normal quiche so this should be similar. Im sure though that pastry wont be as nice as freshly bakedPerfectStormI post: 1003109 said:Do you think this would freeze ok @ewelina ? Thanks @Prem51@PerfectStorm So I defrosted a large slice I froze two weeks ago. In the interest of scientific research, I cut it in half and heated one half in microwave for 1 minute, and had the other half cold. I can report that both were good.
Anyone got any recipes for low carb truffles?
I'm thinking
- high cocoa solids chocolate
- lots of double cream
- flavourings - brandy, rum, orange, mint etc
- chopped nuts, coconut, cocoa for dusting
Any eggs or butter in there? Coconut oil?
Any help with proportions would be great as well.
Thanks
Dave
Im sure it would work with good quality instant coffee dissolved in a small amount of water added to the mix alongside your usual sweetener.
