Lower blood sugars, broken nose dislocated shoulder , cautionary tale .

T must admit I don't have gout but I do have high urea levels, If you look at the Noakes testimony it does seem that both gout and high blood pressure are all manifestations of the same insulin resistance as diabetes ( and for that matter practically all other diseases) so I'm hopeful that if I can continue to lose weight on the CHF diet and control by bs then maybe both of these issues will reduce as well.

I will definitely keep an eye on my intake of pork scratchings now, thanks for the heads up!

Last night minor stumbles were replaced by a major fall.

Very sorry to hear that, I hope you recover quickly. In the meantime may I suggest:

Take care!

Cherry,

Don't worry about knee pads. When you fall over in one of these your knees don't touch the ground!

Hope you are recovering well from your injuries.

Cherry, being American I first read the whisky note in your sign off as "One keg per week". I was about to fire off another cautionary post when I remembered "metric".

Well my black eyes have become quite spectacular ! blood sugars still in the 8's in the morning but 6.9 now (pre-lunch )which is encouraging. blood pressure still low for now though I'm guessing that's the follow through of the morphine. I held off taking bp medication today, not sure when to resume and its a big faff trying to take it with one hand !

Still not feeling hungry which is good too. No pain meds so that's good too . I am going to get very bored with cookery programs soon.
Especially when you can not eat the proceeds! @CherryAA

Best weight loss I ever had (while on very low carb) was when I was eating a pack of pork scratchings every day at lunch. It was amazing.

Mind you, they were really good quality ones. Just Pork Scratchings and sea salt. None of that vile toxic waste they put in ordinary pork scratchings, with the MSG flavour enhancer crud, and assorted E numbers...

Trouble was, I got tired of eating them every day. And then the weight loss stopped too. :(

You could always re-try them @Brunneria. Never tried them...perhaps I ought to...along the vinegar (if it is like other vinegar I wont try it...Anaphylactic shock from that) and all the other things!

It was the Anglesey Pork Scratchings. They are superb. Although the last few packets I bought (from Amazon) seemed to be lower salt, which was disappointing, since I was using them to keep my salt intake up, as well as my fat intake. :D

Thank you... the shopping order this week will have them added to it :)

Just told Mr E we would add them...he said Why...told him they might assist with weight loss..... his response.... Do they give you the trots!!!

Ha. Ha that would explain the falling over ! Unfortunately I was stone cold sober at the time . I might have fallen less heavily with a wee dram or two inside me !

Well i just ordered a kilo , so i expect to be supermodel thin by xmas !

I must admit I was eating mr porky ones. So not good either then?
Too much yes, no, yes then no advice. Still.
I'm beginning to switch off. Sorry.
Too many contradictions.

I'll try no pork scratchings for me.... and observe. So far no weight loss nor gain. In fact I'm less hungry on 100g carb and less protein and less fat.
I might just use lchf diet as a liver detox diet as excellent for that after all that fructose I had pre lchf.

I'm going to consider my leptin levels more which seem to be helping. Protein breakfast, no snacks and plenty of water if feeling hungry unjustified.

Hope you're feeling better CherryAA. A horrendous sounding accident. Hope you are being waited on hand and foot now!

Ickihun, no, the point is we are all different and some things work for some people that do not work for others. I have gout and pork scratchings are not good for gout but others have said they are very good for weight loss. I will totally stop posting my dietary needs if its confusing, I have more than one metabolic disorder but my thyroid works fine so my needs may not be the same as yours.
