Hi Experts,

I was recently diagnosed Type 2 diabetes and my sugar levels were as high as 400. Over the last couple of months i have followed a strict diet plan and i am following a very strict workout regime. Today's morning empty stomach reading was 84. I was very happy to see a reading this low, however, i do have a question.

Am I still a diabetic?
Have I reversed my Diabetes?
Do I still risk all the complexities that diabetes bring?
Should i be worried about blood sugar going low?
How can avoid the sugar level to go low?
How can i get to know if my pancreas are producing insulin at all? Is there a medical test to determine this?

I am planning continue with the diet plan and workout but all these information would help immensely in managing my Diabetes.

Thanks,
Gagan

The first four questions are probably

Yes
No
Yes
No

Your body should still be able to regulate your levels and avoid them dropping too low, as you are not taking any drugs/medication to artificially lower them.

I see this "reverse" thing all too often. You cannot reverse this condition. Lower it, halt it? Yep. Go back to non diabetic ranges and you don't have it? No ... not yet anyway
