@Scott-C . Com'on man!!!!!! Brexit is a piece of pi*h compared to what happens here.
Let's reincarnate "Maggie " and get her on here.:):):)

I fear it maybe humour. Something the forum needs more of at times.:):):)

I thought it might be, but in the absence of a winky face I wasn’t sure!

Hi @Jenniewren1958 and @Rachox and thanks for the nomination. It’s really flattering to be thought of, but I’ll have to decline as I don’t feel I have the time to do the role justice.

@Mike D – Thank you for volunteering to accept your nomination for the Mod election, on a restricted basis, for auctioning spam cleaning.

Unfortunately, I’m not able to accept a contingent acceptance. That’s not a personal thing, Mike. It’s simply that the modding role is a general role where the workload of both style and quantity of work required varies in a way that is out of our control. Relating to the current spam issue, this is a being addressed separately, and is receiving good focus.

On a general basis, it would be good to have Mods from other parts of the world, just as we welcome mods of all types and approaches to their management, but not on a limited basis such as you suggested.

On that basis, Mike, would you like to remain on the list or be removed? Feel free to give it a ponder.

It would be nice to have nominees from across the pond too - different time zones, different perspective. My brain has died (lack of coffee) so I can't think of any members offhand, sorry!

@DCUKMod .
After much deliberation regarding myself being nominated for the forthcoming elections ( thank you so much to those involved) it is , I feel, a position I could not do justice to.
Hence it seems only right to decline my nomination.
I second @Diakat and @catapillar for the election.:)

@therower , for sure modding isn't for everyone, but thanks for taking some time to mull it over and let us know.

Bumping, as it has gone a bit quiet here.

Will there be an equal amount of the different types of sufferers proposed for the posts?

I don't think it matters about the nature of someone's diabetes- for me moderating is more about keeping the forum a safe, pleasant place to be whilst showing impartiality and fairness - IMHO moderating skills are different from knowledge, although I agree a mix is nice and it's good to have a bit of balance
