What was the name of that old TV programme again with that Irish actor (Patrick someone) who kept trying to escape from somewhere and a big bouncing ball chased him and brought him back?

Remember the one all you 40 plus year olds? He was always saying:

I know, why don't we give the "new" mods really cool names; like they had in Gladiators.

"The Prisoner". Slightly before my time, but fairly iconic. Do we expect big bouncing balls to roll our way whenever (if) we transgress in future? How exciting!

Definitely update to Gladiator, that would be so cool!
 
I remember the 'prisoner' well, loved that programme.
I wish all the new mods well, I'm looking forward to the rest! :D

You can't fool us wily old dogs...........pull the other one. Mods 1, 2, 3 & 4 are the same mods, just with alter egos. :wink:

What's your Gladiator name then Sue???

Ardbeg, you definitely are wide of the mark, we have both asked Dan to take Moderator off our profiles, as for Pinocchio, no I think you need to try something else Sherlock.....we had a DI like that he was always way off the beam.....we always had to help him out of the mire too !!

Like Sue I am enjoying the R & R. Even took to posting on another, friendly Forum. All the old Mods are gone, a new team in place I believe. Best wishes to Dan and his new crew.

Actually it means I can post without having to worry too much about what I say and the way I say it....within reason of course. Don't want to get banned do I....... :evil: :lol:

They don't. The suspense will grow and grow until one day everyone realises it's just me using the five profiles to cover my tracks.

Not really, from 150 applications we've filled four of the profiles and still sorting through to find the final moderator. I am very happy with the new team who, in the meantime, will remain anonymous and keep a sharp eye on proceedings round 'ere.
 
I for one wish the new moderators the best of luck, just wish they had names rather than a label, it would be much friendlier and easier to converse with, but thats only my opinion.

As Ken already knows, I moderate a similar PHP forum to this one, but on a totally different subject matter.

By and large it's a thankless task, but somebody has to do it.

I applaud the efforts of the moderators on this forum....whoever they are. :wink:
 
Can't play this guessing game for names as I never watched "Gladiator".
Happy that it goes well for diabetics who just want to ask questions or post their observations. I have gained lots of info here which has led me to search out research and follow my "take" on the subject. I have attained some major advances on my diabetes control because I used info from a wide variety of posters. Long may they keep asking difficult and tricky questions, putting those professionals who believe in a particular route, on the spot and have never perhaps thought outside of the box.
Don't change a thing.
 
Dear all,

I'm gonna lock this one down before it develops further. Can I reassure all members that the changes in moderation system have been made in the best interests of the community and the moderators themselves. It is not designed to provoke guessing games, just to keep this forum free and safe from those that would seek to disrupt it.
