    hi

i love hearing the music others have shared on here.

And while some songs soothe, other lift you up & help you face the day..

When i came on board this one was my anthem, "What ever it takes", resonated strongly and kept me on track.

I've had a good week with great news re my HBA1c scores, so this now fits my day.

Please do add when one song makes your day or fits the moment for you..

Nice idea for a thread, @jjraak! I'm more a classical music listener but one song that gets me every time is Bette Midler's The Rose. The power of music to soothe and uplift cannot be underestimated.

That "Insane in the Membrane" is a class but must confess to liking the dub version more

The Smiths, grew up with them and still like the music

Not so keen on Morrissey mind you :hilarious:

Strange how it always seems to be dusty when I listen to that song.... ;)

Found this, @JoKalsbeek - that's a great track :) I'm having a great time at work causing eyebrows to raise with the music on this tread coming from my usually silent computer!

I go to band practice on Mondays - music for dancing, that is after the folk club and music session on Sunday another session once a month on a Wednesday, morris practice every Thursday, plus such customs as wassailing, Mayday, weekend folk festivals, weddings - listening to music can be good, but actually performing it takes things to a whole new level.

@Robinredbreast be humming that on the way home for sure, tonight.

Strangely reminded me of an Earth , Wind & Fire song...which one I can't recall.

Liking the reasoning as well, strange how we can focus on a part of the song and make it personal.

    Thanks for posting it up.

Reading TOO many posts on here of patients being told
"oh, btw your diabetic, cut the sugars, there's a good chap..see you in 3 months "
type of flippancy...a case of our #metoo moment, sadly

And i found this was playing around in my head..( Coincidence..i think not ;))

added for the mood set i'm in today.

Loved that when in the advert .(lily Allen I believe)
Do think that's a better version, though.

@jjraak America - Horse with no name = CHOON!

Great idea! I love finding out what others are listening to! Being married to a musician with an encyclopaedic knowledge of music and an ever expanding record collection, there is rarely a time when music isn't on in our house. Always an eclectic mix too. These are on heavy rotation at the moment :headphone::
