Ever been tom the Mathew street music festival in Liverpool?
Fantastic day out ... whole city centre shuts down and stages every half mile with a band on.
There was a Kinks tribute band on a few years back and everyone was drinking and smoking things and the old and the young knew all the words to almost every song ... I've only seen that before with the Beatles bands.
Blew me away seeing a few thousand mums dads and grannies all singing their heads off to this particular band.
They drew the biggest crowds out of all the other bands.
Fantastic being part of it.

Yes we just happened to be there at the right time several years ago, it was a great day out!

...not been to Liverpool but know I'd've loved it.......went to see the 50th anniversary of the Beatles show, Let it Be up in London last month, with a tribute band, wasn't expecting much but it was great.....8 to 80s dancing and singing along....can't find a decent clip though...just a quick trailer :grumpy:

Saw him in Hyde Park last year. Elton John was supposed to be top billing but had appendicitis so RD was pushed up the bill and he was brilliant. Our son had two tickets to see the Stones the next day and took his dad, but I'm not bitter (much)
