Fast Day 2. 24hrs.
So I've gone and diarised alternate day fasts for the next month. Thinking is, if they're in diary then that is booked and official.

Really annoyed. We were supposed to be taking friend's dogs for a walk but got there only to find no key had been left to get to them so my kids ended up in tears as they were looking forward to it. I'm so annoyed at flippancy of my friend - it's wasted my morning and I could have done without the stress of my kids being upset and blaming me. A good life lesson, I know, but they were gutted.

Some people really do lack the common sense gene. Hopefully my kids will grow up aware!

Rant over.

I'm now sat in Burger King watching people feasting

Made it! Day 2 in the bag and was easier than Monday's fast. Fancied some cake so made a lemon mug cake and had with cream. I am so full right now!

Bg was down to 5.4 before eating. Wonder what it'll be in the morning? Struggling to draw blood again which is a bit frustrating and I feel like a pin cushion x

Not happy - 6.5 this morning after a restless night. Maybe I shouldn't have had the mug cake although it was low carb?!

But still an acceptable number. I always have a coffee (de or car) with single or double cream first thing. It stops any liver spikes dead in their tracks. Always works for me even on fast days. Keep gong, you're doing great. :)

I couldn't live without my morning coffee!! I'm on my first one now.

Interesting that it stops your spike - I always thought caffeine raised bg. Never actually tested it myself as it's something I will not cut. I draw the line there!!!

Hi Debmcgee. When I'm fasting and get pangs I have a mouthful of double cream..stops them in their tracks.. Longest I have done is 4 days.. Bloods got down to 4.1 best ever..
Keep up the great work
Regards
Mark

Thanks - hard not to get sucked into things in the heat of the moment and stress definitely is not on my side at times! But I am trying my best to stay positive and move forward

The caffeine does, though very little for me...it's the big dollop of cream (only 2g carbs per 100g) and which is nearly all FAT that stops the spike from an early morning liver dump.

I do love cream but I have to watch that I don't have too much dairy as it'll creep up on me thanks to the lactose

I don't know why but today's fast is quite strange. I feel quite light headed and dizzy if I look up too fast and too much. I'm now sat down watching to as I've been to park to walk out new furry friend. Didn't go mad there either so not sure why I'm feeling so blah.....

Having some green tea with lemon now. Wonder if I'm dehydrated as not been doing too well with water this week....can't wait til 6!

I seriously need some motivation. . Recorded all my vital stats to mark the new IF routine and I can't help but feel down in the dumps about how little I've really achieved. I want to be positive and not look back but it's hard with the evil scales' feedback staring me in the face. I've taken all my readings and recorded them in my IF review book so I can compare.

I know we have to start somewhere but I have sabotaged myself too many times. I'm praying IF with LCHF makes a difference. I wish I didn't like food so much and I although I want to move myself more, I look at myself and can't help but feel down....

Hate feeling like this x
