My low carb/IF Diet - BG and progress

Just had hba1c results back. Overall mmol is down from 6.8 to 6.0 so diabetes is just clinging on there. Hopefully it won't be at the next one in September!

Can't find last lot of results but ldl looks like it's increased and Hdl has lowered.wonder why? Do I need to start eating more veg based fat rather than animal?

Anyway I'm so proud of myself! A few friends of mine are on met and getting higher readings. And I'm doing it without medical intervention. I'm feeling proud of myself.

Of course, I couldn't have done it without you xxxx

Brilliant result.
And yes.
Saturated fat is really bad for me, non saturated fat is the way to go.

Annoyingly back at 6.3. Not sure now a glass of wine was worth it!!

Fast day 13 today. Looking forward to it. I quite like the control it gives me and after being an emotional eater for my whole life, that's my best achievement throughout this journey....x

6.0 this morning so coming down but had an outing at breakfast and let myself sample some of the continental side (not lots - croissant and a couple of bites of stuff). Be interesting to see what that does to me tomorrow. Didn't bother testing as finger needs a rest.

And so we wait...!

Shocker! 5.8 this morning...very impressed and it looks like the odd croissant here and there with a fry up will be ok! Didn't have anything to eat til a lot later and really struggled to eat that too. I didn't want to not eat dinner before my fast today as I didn't think I'd cope. What I should have done was tried it and had a longer fast.....

5.7 this morning which is good for me. Having a very strange week at work and have found out I'm moving up to year 6 next school year and I'm keeping the class I'm with now. Most are lovely so that's good and I know them really well, but there's about 4 kids who ruin it for everyone else and I can't see them improving any time soon... I've also got a new teacher to work with so that'll be interesting to see how we gel. I think that's the least of my worries though....

Docs have changed my meds for back issues and I'm off all the bg raising drugs. They're tweaking doses but it shouldn't impact my bg going forward....

I'm feeling more on top of things generally but especially with t2 control. I can't believe I'm no longer emotionally eating and am looking at other ways of managing stress. At least I think I am....

Fasting tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it! X

Good to hear you have kept your job @Debmcgee. I remember you were a bit stressed about it a couple of weeks back. One thing you don't have to worry about. Keep up the good work!

Fast day 14 nearly over and I've just weighed in!!!!

Total loss since starting is 5kgs. I've lost a total of 5% body fat. Total weight loss since being back on the wagon is 15kg (6 months).

I wish I'd starting this IFing months ago!! I'm so pleased with myself! I have stuck to it for awhile month and not really slipped...

Last week of FBGs have averaged high fives which is also encouraging....

Can't wait to see where I'm at a month from now!!!

X

We're in Findon Valley so not a million miles away.. often walk the dog along the prom at Goring.. From George Vth Ave to the Sea Lane cafe..just to add we live here now but not from here originally

I used to hang out at sea lane cafe! Good to know it's still there after all these years. I know Findon. Drive past it when I grace Sussex with my presence every few years!

I am stuffed and need to start throwing stuff away but I really hate wasting food....also knowing I'm fasting tomorrow, makes me scared not to have a feast! Stupid I know but can't help it!

Feeling a bit tired today so hoping I get better sleep tonight. It's not been great lately and needs to be improved. Friday tomorrow!!!
