You can also use grated celeriac for fish pie.

    Roast in oven.

Add herbs, cheese and butter !

    Delicious!!!

5 units then hopefully to Metformin?

I’m so happy to have come off insulin!

Yes, already too much insulin in my system - don't need any more! And these really low numbers spook me a bit. I'm on 2000 Metformin/day too, and the usual strategy is to get off insulin first then hopefully reduce Metformin. But I might try reducing it in the next few days or so. We'll see how the numbers do.

I suggest speak with your DN asap to titrate down your insulin or to be completely taken off it and continue with Metformin.

    How are you doing Leah?

My bg levels are now hitting between 5s - 6s.

I am now slowly introducing a bit of carb to give me energy - half cup of brown rice with beans and nuts for lunch.

Approx. 30g noodles for dinner with lots of vegetables.

Need to start eating at least 1 fruit a day.

    Hi Andrew

I wish I could say that I'm doing better, but insomnia seems to be the one thing that's preventing me from kicking this this. I didn't take any metformin yesterday, but my numbers were too high for comfort at bedtime so I took one. I'll go back on it today. I'm almost afraid to check my numbers this morning because I didn't sleep a wink last night. It's just so frustrating because I'm doing everything I'm supposed to do. I know the answer is out there somewhere. Sorry for complaining; I'm just not feeling myself these days. I'm so glad you're doing so well.

I suggest you need to speak with your Diabetes Team asap.

I've bumped this up because on another thread people have mentioned that the OP should start their own thread. Well this is one that they started. Maybe they need to post a different one? More specific?
