If readings remain above 14 consistently you can feel unwell, tired and etes can also be affected...
Levels upward to 20 consistently then advice ought to be gained from 111 or out of hours gp etc.. there may be signs of unquenchable thirst.
T1's are told to test for ketones but as GPs wont even give strips to T2's then its very unlikely you will have been given ketone strips. Normally in t2's on meds (not insulin) they would not be given ketone sticks.
If hubby wears glasses or even if he doesnt he may find his eye sight has blurred... it is worth getting etes tested perhaps but until levels stabilise lower it wouldnt really be worthwhile investing in ant lens changes etc.
Is it dizziness or are his eyes affected with blurriness say when watching tv? Etc..
