Hi All,
I was newly diagnosed with Type 2 a couple of days ago. to be honest it didn't come as a shock as my lifestyle was pretty bad. Very sedentary, with virtually no exercise. I wouldn't say my eating habits were "bad" just portion control is lacking, combined with seconds, and sometimes thirds.
My hba1c reading was 103, I know that it should be under 48, but not sure if that is really high or not!
Cholesterol is quite high too (6.1), not surprising as I love dairy food, cheese, and drink a lot of milk.
I have been put on medication (metformin, and Forxiga) would appreciate any shared experiences of those two drugs. Also Atorvastatin for the cholesterol.
My BMI is just over 30 pushing me into the "obese" category, so I know that I will have to get off my butt and do some exercise.
Cheers,
Pete
