An awful lot.
I was getting excited about my first Hba1c taken on the 10th see DN on the 18th.

Phone call today all change she is in hospital ring back start of march :(

Then inspiration the Dr wanted the tests run (also have a cholesterol test to have) all excited think l will get my numbers..

Nope the Dr is ill we only have one in ring back when your bloods have been done.

l want to know what my bloods are it's not fair :arghh:

l know they didn't say l couldn't but means l wont see the Dr which is fine per se but l want my results and he will glance at the results and that's it unless l am dying, so am hoping l can go down and get them direct from receptionist once they arrive. :shy:

Miserable MID :(

I have asked for my blood results even though they have not been "viewed" by the GP or DN I ask the receptionist to read out the results and I write them down and then go and peruse them at my leisure
CAROL

l may be able to go in and see receptionist face to face but when l rang to get my BP for my diary she wouldn't give them l had to speak on the phone to the DN. I will push the point that as everyone is sick or dying and it isnt my fault (for a change) and it is my blood ...so gimme please

We have a right to a free printout of our blood test results - ask for them & expect them - though th erecep may insist on getting them from the Dr.

My Dr has them printed ready for me, & I keep them for reference & tracking how my condition is progressing - or how stable it is.

Getting the results is just a part of it. I think MUD would like the opportunity to discuss results with DSN. I know if it were me, I would.

Yes to all replies. l have been really looking forward to the numbers and at the moment the numbers are most important, l am happy enough with things not to need to rush to the Dr or DN l can wait but yes when able want to speak to pref the DN...

I looked at my meter and my average for the last 30 days of random meal tests pre and 2 hr post, some exercise I have an average of 5.5
30 days as I swapped to the new meter l was sent a month ago and on the old one again all my tests there l think average was 5.7 including Xmas. l realise this is just a snapshot as it isn't every meal... but l am crossing fingers over it.
