I'm astounded...
Lol, don't go breaking this one...!?!
I'm astounded...
Yup, that's a broken pen. Is it refillable? Or was it refillable. I feel horrible at all the plastic I throw away with each Lantus solo pen I use. (It's called novopen Echo? Do you have to get a prescription for it? Thanks, and I am so sorry yours broke-my driving glasses pretty much did the same thing Friday-I am thinking it is the cold weather making the plastic brittle.
yup saw that in @donnellysdogs original post, it's referenced on the Novo 'contact us' page too.@steve_p6 - Yellow Card website: https://yellowcard.mhra.gov.uk/
Novo sent me a new pen...
Wrong type!!
Nothing ever straight forward for me,
Sent me novopen 5 - 1 unit pen instead of red echo -1/2 unit pen.
My new year wish is to stop
having bad luck constantly!
I've had 4 of these pens in the last year and all have failed as shown here, with the pens breaking in half. This is a serious design fault. As they begin to fail then the amount of insulin being delivered starts to vary because the plunger forces the 2 halves apart instead of pushing the bung into the cartridge.
yes...very frustrating. I reported to Novo Nordisk around 9 months ago and returned a pen. I had an acknowledgement that they received the pen but no further feedback. Have now reported to MRHA.
