Fill yourself up with half a pan of veggies. Any til your sugar cravings leave you alone. Keep full and biscuits wont be able to satisfy you. Fill up on protein. Cheese, chicken anything that's handy or microwave friendly. Keep yourself full til sugar hits bu**er off. Don't let them a space in your life. Don't buy them.
I'm routing for you Ali. We're all behind you. You cannot fail. We won't let you. You can do this. COME'ON !!!! :)

Dishonesty, selfishness and lack of empathy.
Lost count of the number of people who adhere to a strict regime and then try (for the hell of it) a carb / sugar snack and feel ill at the taste. A hangover multiplied .....

Couldn't agree more Mike. I have issues with binge eating, always have. A friend bough back a large bag of Russian sweets at Christmas, I binged a couple times then put the blasted things in the shed, out of my sight. Yesterday my daughter brought them in and the inevitable happened - for hours afterwards I feel like ****. Ally, if it's not there, you can't eat it. Chuck biccies in the bin, I'm chucking the sweets in the bin. Each day is a new day, no guilt or regrets, just move forward.
I'm also giving something up, not exactly cigs, but something that is made with tobacco;) I'm using the nicotine spray and know it's hard, but I'm getting there. You will too xx

@ally1 When I need a sugar fix, I make myself a large cup of herbal tea. My favourite is peppermint and liquorice flavour and I really can fool myself into thinking that I'm having a sweet treat. Drinking rather than eating also helps my fluid intake.

There are various brands of herbal/fruit teas and infusions but I like the Pukka range because they are individually wrapped so I can always carry them in my bag when travelling/visiting, and are so nicely wrapped they look and feel almost like confectionary!

People that can't listen to other people's opinions.
People that can't say sorry.
Just be wary that licquorice in tea is not recomended for people with hypertension. If you have raised blood pressure avoid licquorice in tea.

I have read a few details on teas.. A good one for women appears to be raspberry leaf...
I have it in my daily water 2 lt jug. Also have it hot with water..

I also love nettle & peppermint. Lemongrass with ginger is good as ginger helps my stomach to keep working.

They aren't cheap though when you only get 15 or 20 in a box.

Guess it depends how often you drink. They do make 2lts of cold water taste a lot nicer...

As I'm trying to minimise caffeine its mainly infusions that I have alrhough I do also have green tea with mint.

When I was pregnant with my twins (over 30 years ago!), I read somewhere that raspberry leaf tea was useful in preparing the body prepare for labour pains.
I tried the tea once, and decided that I'd rather have the pain!:yuck::hilarious:
