Op’s Done!

Bad news my lovely forum friends I’ve just been readmitted to the Orthopaedic hospital after spending the night in A/E. Not coping at home with the pain :arghh:
PS my blood sugar was 5.9 on admission surprisingly!

Sending positive thoughts.

So sorry to read that you're 'back inside' Rachox, I do hope they're able to sort out the problems for you fairly quickly. Sending best wishes and big hugs, to help you on your way ((( hugs ))) ((( hugs )))

:)

I hope it's a short visit back and you're home soon, pain controlled that is.

Thank you for all my virtual hugs today. Pain is a fraction better now having tried a few different combinations.
How do you think I did for lunch choices?!
Someone described hospital omelettes as elephant’s ears. Mine was more the size of a pig’s ear, tiny but perfectly formed and very tasty :hungry:

How did you do for lunch choices? Hmmm, I don't know. I'm a little disappointed you didn't go for the side salad instead of the roasted veg. Clearly you have fallen off the wagon and you might as well give up now!

Anyway I hope pain keeps lessening. It's clearly addling your mind!

Update. Finally cracked last evening having only had two hours sleep in 36. I demanded to see the senior dr which resulted in a patient controlled morphine pump being set up. So I’ve had some much needed sleep and my foot is a tiny little bit better this morning.

Hi @Rachox good to hear you are home. Have a happy Christmas.
I can't work out what all the abbreviations mean on the menu, E?, S?, BC? unfortunately LC seems to be missing.

Sorry to hear all your troubles.
I'm really pleased you're home for the big day!
Take it very easy though,

LC was defo missing! I had an omelette and salad or veggies for every meal. As a diabetic I was supposed to choose BC which stood for ‘balanced choice’! Yeh right! :joyful:

Well I survived the big day, slept most of it to be honest, that codeine has knocked me for six! God knows what the Morphine would do! It was a good excuse to miss lunch at the ILs! I ate breakfast, an afternoon snack and buffet tea and average sugar level today so far 6.1, a bit higher than normal, but within acceptable levels. Hoping to get back into a more normal routine tomorrow!

I've been higher than normal all day, but just been for a walk and BG is down to 5. How does that work?
Glad you survived the day and I hope you feel even better tomorrow.
