I've noticed over the past few days that the heel of my right foot has been painful, so I've gone and checked it tonight and I have a open sore as a size of a £2 coin and my whole foot and leg is really swollen and hot to touch.

I recently went to have my feet taken care of by a chiropodist on 29th March and she didn't mention anything about a open sore, so I am really concerned about it and I don't know if I should wait till Tuesday to see my doctor or go to A&E tonight or tomorrow.

Did you go see someone? I hope you did, and you're being taken proper care of!

I went the walk-in this morning where it was a 30 minute wait. They've said that it's a burst blister, next to some hard skin on the heel. They've prescribed me some antibiotics, dressed it up and I've got to call my doctors on Tuesday for a check up on it and hopefully they will prescribe me some stockings for my legs as well.

Glad you went in! Hope it'll heal up nicely.

Never neglect anything wrong with foot. Things can turn nasty very quickly.
Vitally important to check feet daily, and seek attention immediately for even the smallest wound. This is particularly important for anyone with high blood glucose levels that are not well controlled, especially as neuropathy in feet can mean no pain is felt.

Take good care, @akindrat18 , and do not hesitate to seek medical advice, urgently, if things don’t improve.

How is your foot today @akindrat18 ?
It's still painful to walk on, but I've kept the dressing on for 3 days as advised. Been to see my doctors today, who have advised me to take some antibiotics and referred me to a lymphoedema clinic for my legs as they are still swollen and red hot to touch.
