Hi and good morning, woke up with pain in the back of my head, behind left ear, but ear not painful. The left side of neck is tender. The strange thing is, I can drink a cup of tea, but whilst trying to eat a small yogurt for breakfast (opening my mouth to eat is painful on the left side too). I have taken 2 painkiller's to ease the discomfort, it's just very odd.
I have an eye appointment at the hospital today, so I hope it is better by 11.30.

Hypos, rude people, ignorance and grey days.
Morning RB :) I'd get yourself a GP's apt too today if you can, it might be nothing but it's best to get checked out, sounds like something you've not had before too so it does warrant further investigation x

If the pain persists and the GP has no answers you could try the dentist. It could be a minute misalignment of the jaw. I used to get these often and my dentist just tweaked things a bit to put it back again.

Sorry to hear that @Robinredbreast.

I agree with @Juicyj in that you should see your Dr if you can. Always best to err on the side of caution:)

If your GP checks you over and says you've slept funny, etc - then I'd highly recommend a Chiropractor if the discomfort persists. I don't know what it is about the procedures they do, but the relief is almost instantaneous after a few twists and pops:)

I will see how it goes and if, after the eye appointment, it's no better, I will contact my surgery, thank you for your help and advice :)

Hi @Robinredbreast . How are you? Niggling, unexplainable pains. Who needs um.
Hope your pain has gone or at least subsided a bit.
Not going to advise on a course of action, I'm sure you're a big enough girl now who knows what to do for the best.:).
Just hope you feel your old self again soon.

Hi dd, it is better now thanks. I looked up TMD, not sure if it is that. From the bottom of my neck (from the outer edge of my left ear going to the right) it's very tender to the touch, if it's still the same in a few days time I will make an appointment with a GP. Sorry to hear you went through that, as you have enough on your plate, Take care X

Thanks, it has improved throughout the day, but if it happens again, I will make an appointment with a GP.
Off to bed now, so goodnight.
