From the DUK facebook:
My dsn put me off them she asked me to bring a tub in when I went to see her so I did. She took them outside an put a lit match in them and they exploded because of the amount of fat in them. Needless to say havent ate any since lol xx

Hope there not sour cream and onion, I love them

That's science in action, Ian. And it's also as good a reason as any to stop popping the Pringles.

My DSN showed me a similar trick using a couple of Peperami and a bag of of Mini Cheddars. His office has since been rebuilt.

NOOOOOOO! Not pepperami's as well

My only sojourn into the realms of science was when I made my own wine .my husband maintains that it could be used as a weapon of mass destruction  There is still some in the garage but I darent open it :!: we may have to call in the bomb squad

I'm going to have a go at that :D

I seriously doubt that the fat in Pringles would make them explode when exposed to a lit match.

If you search Youtube for 'exploding pringles' there are many videos but they all use some form of gas to make an explosion, I'm 99% sure that if Pringles just exploded when lit with a match examples would be all over youtube by now.

Here you are check out the link - http://www.youtube.com/results?search_q ... l3.12l15l0

Its a nice thought though :D

Exploding Pringles  .........hope they asked their money back of the dsn!

I've read somewhere that the first moon mission was actually powered by Hula Hoops. This fact has since been hushed up by the global oil industry because it was feared that their profits would suffer if reconstituted potato ever claimed its rightful place as the fuel of the future. So spread the word and don't let others be blinded to (or by) the explosive potential of processed snack foods.

An OAP friend of mine uses pringles for fire lighters, when she runs out of the proper stuff

STOP! Cant take it no more  This is sacrilege, those poor pringles. How can these people sleep at night

I agree I think we ought to start a prevention of cruelty to Pringles society
