I guess a better description would be saggy, rather than loose elastic thin skin, like some people I have seen on utube.Firstly congratulations on your amazing result. I'm sure your next HbA1c will be even better than your last.
Are you still intermittent fasting? I have heard that this helps with skin tightening a bit so you may be all right. I have a few "saggy" bits but not as much as I expected after losing 8 stones. Maybe try a few extended fasts to see if that helps at all? Anecdotally I have read that the results can be visible quite quickly.
Edit to add I think it is Dr Fung who says he has never had to refer a fasting client for skin reduction surgery ever.
My physiotherapist has recommended using a rolled up towel between my knees, but my knee still swells up.Have you tried squats using ayoga ball for bacm support? It keeps you in the right position. Otherwise can you do other liwer body things like cycling or leg presses?
Thank youHi @Petaluk first congratulations on how well you’re doing you must be thrilled with the way you’re turning things around.
I agree with @bulkbiker - although my weight loss has been smaller at 5 stone since diagnosis the majority of my loss was via Intermittent fasting with LCHF and I have very little lose skin despite not doing significant exercise. Could be genetics too as I’ve got a fairly elastic skin thankfully as I’ve lost much weight and regained it over the years thanks to low fat regimes! but I’m positive that fasting has also helped with skin tightening this time round and more importantly I seem to be maintaining fairly easily and not putting it back on. Struggle is more to stop losing any more as I’m now thin! ( never ever thought I’d say I’m thin !)
Wow that gives me so much hope..thank you!Have you already got any loose skin yet? One of my acquaintances recently told me she had lost 7 stones a couple of years ago and, apart from her tummy and bum being a bit saggy and less firm than it used to be, her skin is fine. She is 62 years old.
Just for info I’ve only ever done Intermittent fasting. I did one meal a day for a month so fasting 23 hours and then moved up to two meals. I now eat three small meals usually in an 8 hour window. Hope this helps.Thank you
So fasting is the way to go..cool
Thanks!

This is amazing, I think I am going to try this. I fast 7 days a week, well, dont snack inbetween meals x 3 small a day, so the period of no snacking as Dr. Fung states, is actually intermittent fasting, then I do 2 days 18 hour fast no breakfast, then 1 day 24 hour fast 8pm to 8pm no breakfast or lunch just evening meal, I like your style, I am going to do a month of one meal a day, watch this space....Just for info I’ve only ever done Intermittent fasting. I noticed your weight lose was over some time..maybe this helps...doing it slower?
would you mind letting me know what diet you are one pleaseHi all
Currently I am on a dramatic weight loss journey..I have lost nearly 5 stones since mid April..but I am becoming concerned about the possibility of being left with loose skin. Although I try to keep active and have started to do some weight training, I am struggling with my lower body due to a knee injury (can’t do squats)
Does anybody have any tips regarding this please?
Much appreciated
