On a bg level of 7.9 I would have given myself a correction to get target of 6mmol and then done the bolus. On the 7.9 with no correction, after 2hrs the bg of 13.7 would be about right, also Novo's action is about 5hrs which can more or less be seen with the 2pm bg of 11.7 (dropped 2ml 2hrs after the lunch bolus with the tiny correction)
That's exactly my point. I think those you do the DAFNE and show commitment should be high on the list, not just those with poor control. Hope you get one Hale !Yup needs to be over 8%. But since I've informed him of my marriage next year and babies afterwards ( I opted out of specifying how soon or not so soon after haha) I'm getting close to the pregnancy criteria
My issue was he said as soon as I'm over 8% the pump is as good as mine (despite tell me in September the pump was mine after id done DAFNE). So all he's essentially encouraging is that I relax my control and let my hba1c rise...... And risk complications.
I know I can control myself with MDI, but why should I have to? The ease of less needles and greater dosing flexibility would be fantastic for lifestyle and general self esteem. The nice guidelines don't cover that though

True, but you'd also have an a** the size of a battleship lol !I love the NHS and what it does for the country as a whole. But the sad fact is, if I lived in the US I'd have great insurance with my job (big company) and I'd have a pump by now. Plain and simple.
