On a bg level of 7.9 I would have given myself a correction to get target of 6mmol and then done the bolus. On the 7.9 with no correction, after 2hrs the bg of 13.7 would be about right, also Novo's action is about 5hrs which can more or less be seen with the 2pm bg of 11.7 (dropped 2ml 2hrs after the lunch bolus with the tiny correction)
I can't correct a 7.9 unfortunately. A 0.5u drops me 3-4 so if I took even a half I'm risking a hypo.
Personally, I'm not worried about 7.9 after breakfast anyway. I like to be under 8 overnight which that is, although it's pushing the upper limit! I had been 4.7 at bedtime the night before and had a 9g snack to push me up so I fully expected to be in the 7-8 region.
It's the pre lunch 9 that gets on my nerves!
