Regular moderate exercise log

Not a lot today, but being back in an office helps - 9k steps just going about things. Included a very brisk walk up a steepish hill at the end of the day so that I could touch in at the railway station before 4 to get a cheaper fare :D

Barre class in which I couldn't stand on one leg to save my life.
And Mr ZF's walk:

You definitely know when to trip the shutter @Goonergal !!

Barre class. Felt very good. Need physical therapy for my poor wrists.....

Took this weeks charges for a canal and hill walk today. The Kennet and Avon in Berkshire

sorry, posting the photos wasn't easy and didn't quite go to plan.
11000 steps in one 2 hour walk

Looks a lovely walk. That canal is on my list - getting to know the myriad of canals around Birmingham and surrounding areas pretty well, as well as the Regent’s canal and off shoots in London. As a non-driver my only constraint is the availability of public transport to get to places out of return walking distance.

This ones pretty easy. Its right on the main south west line to Bristol so passes Newbury Hungerford etc on the stopping line. This was near Kintbury where the station is right next to the canal. Am sure you could plan a long walk from kne Station to another. No Five guys or nandos anywhere near though ;)

@MrsA2 what a great walk! My sister's dachshund thought he was a Weimaraner, and would take on anything!

Depressing barre class. Some classes are intentional balance challenges. Some things I can do, but if I have to do three moving things (other leg, torso turn and/or tilt, arms) all at once repeatedly while standing on one leg, I am a sad mess. Tomorrow will be better-- hopefully a repeat of Tuesday's class!

Two miles with the baby stroller; perfect weather!
Less depressing barre class-- easier balances with fewer moving parts and/or supported by whatever you use as your personal barre (for me, one post of a four poster bed. Gonna miss that whenever I go back to the studio!)

Finally some proper exercise. Gave my new trail runners a workout at Kew Gardens and along the Thames Path. 10.6 miles if you add the walk to the station as well.

Another decent walk today - first 10 miles at speed, trying to get fitness back up. Then some meandering around shops after a Thames Clipper ride - two new pairs of Goretex trainers from the Asics outlet at the 02.
