Regular moderate exercise log

@ianpspurs hope you are soon on the mend.

My own exercise also tempered the past couple of days. Yesterday I aborted a walk in favour of the DLR, but managed to get up to 13k steps. Previous day was meandering around London and somehow got to almost 17k, but mostly very slow.

Morning all, bench last night 120kg 6x2 was extremely hard but managed, still have a slight pull in my left pec so called it quits after that. One more session planned then am off for 4 wks post cataract surgery. Then the work really begins as it will be 8wks to my competition.

Take care everyone.

Another day with a croaky voice and cough so held off anything much exercise wise. Ended up with 11.7K steps. Just about ticking over

Managed 13K steps yesterday - this cold/virus is a stubborn little so and so. Carrying the 20kgs bag of chicken feed to their hopper from the car provoked a cough so methinks it is best to leave other exercise for a while

Ended up on 16k steps yesterday and 3 lots of 2k rowing. It was my best day for a while with my BGs kept below 8.5 apart from 8.30 -10am when it did it’s normal morning rise.

Still struggling to shake off this lurgy so nothing much exercise wise. Yesterday was 13K steps with 1 hrs lawn mowing. Today ended up 12K. Neither are very much but surely better than just sitting or spending the day on the sofa?

@ianpspurs great effort while feeling under the weather and definitely better than sitting around on the sofa (can’t imagine you do much of that).

Catching up on the past couple of days. Friday’s step count was 19,421 which included one brisk 25 minute walk, but was otherwise clocked up getting from A to B.

Yesterday hit 21,572 steps. Long - and brisk - walk along the canals in Birmingham pre breakfast with fellow forumites and then the rest getting from venue to venue.

Heading out for a longer walk this morning. Just waiting on the weather - BBC weather app confidently predicting 0% rain in the next 2 hours. The large, dark cloud outside hotel window suggests otherwise.

Hope the walking goes well @Goonergal and the shins hold up. I am coming to the time of the year when there are 15 hrs to fill and I can't exercise that much anymore hence my visceral dislike of autumn and winter:banghead: I have made an appointment to get my Dr to refer me to a surgeon to see if my back can be sorted at least enough for long walks - Nordic would be good and hyper trendy round here.

@ianpspurs I hope all goes well with your visit to the doc's.I so understand the winter months and not being able to exercise that much . We have just been through a winter so into spring here now.

Maybe not at the speed of the mythical man or @Goonergal on the Clapham Omnibus but 14.5K steps from a man with no lower leg muscles and fast asleep in the chair while watching TV - I so need this weirdy virus fade away and not radiate

Thank god for painkillers.
I've managed to kit my awkward 11yr old with his school uniform, in shops. Mens size 11 football boots and ex-large blazer.
I'm totally exhausted and to be fair he has been very sympathetic to my needs.
We've stopped and sat when necessary. We've lunched and coffee'd for a break. Lovely mother and son time. The whole reason I wanted children, for great company. It has been worth every upset and stress to get pregnant.
Loads of walking.
More tomorrow to finish his needs complete and then Tuesday and Wednesday I've agreed to walk him to most of school route, there and back; twice. Then I may just meet him occasionally.
I don't mind him doing without me but what a great excuse to get extra walking in?
Back on maximum painkillers though, for now.
