Remission Strikes..

not only working hard to get yourself there, but tirelessly willing to share the experiences and wisdom earned, (and now your looking to the patient group, even more so) to help get others to that status, as well....marvellous stuff.

Yes, I know that definition. I was wondering if the NHS had an official definition or if it was just that particular nurse's idea of remission. Sounds like the latter.
It seems to be up to the GP practise how they define it - my hba1c has been between 34 and 37 for last 4 years but I have been told that I am not in remission just well controlled. However a colleague had 2 hba1c readings of 41 and was told by his GP that his diabetes was now resolved so it seems to be up to individual interpretation.
