Room 010 (NOT like the TV prog)

Especially when you look at some of the situations that they come from, shows what great creatures dogs are.

I adore the oldies, all they ask is a warm bed a full tum and a garden to stroll round, and if perchance a stroke on a lap is thrown in, heaven, besides which they are already house trained.

one of my cats would do this with food, itd knock it off the counter for the dog, amazing (little ******)

The nice young man at the local Tesco's who lifts my shopping into the boot of my car then takes the trolley back to the rank and refuses to take a tip.

The lovely post people who not only deliver our mail but make sure all the oldies in our close are fit and well and will call the dr if needed, worth their weight in gold.

The technology that has developed in such a short time that enables us to talk to strangers and have information available within seconds.

Oh, and the techies enabling us to have the conversations we do on here.

A few people recently. firstly my friend Silvia who I rang for help when I fell, she was already at the hospital visiting her father in law who was ill and she came and took me to a&e and stayed with me until 7pm. my dear friend's june and Ray who just popped round with a mini rose plant. Another friend jo, who took on some work I couldn't manage and put a thank you card through my letter box yesterday with £20 in it. Also to the lovely staff at a working silk mill café who brought me tea over ,plumped up cushions on the sofa and kept coming over and asking if I needed anything. All such lovely and kind people who touched my heart <3 I am so thankful :) and not forgetting all the wonderfully kind members on here who have helped many times, all STARS :joyful: RRB

The person who invented butter.

I mean, how much lateral outside-the-box thinking led to some ancient world inhabitant to
  • Milk a cow, sheep or goat
  • Let the cream rise to the top
  • Skim off the cream
  • Beat or stir or shake the cream till it turned to butter

How awesome is that?

He hates butter.

Weird but true.
When I was a kid we had Stork margerine!!!!
Butter was only available to us on a Sunday visit to Grans and I couldn't stand the stuff being so used to Stork.
Did you know ... nine out of ten mums can't tell the difference between Stork and butter.
There was something seriously wrong with the mums back then ... but only in Croyden.
