Room 010 (NOT like the TV prog)

When I was a kid we had Stork margerine!!!!
Butter was only available to us on a Sunday visit to Grans and I couldn't stand the stuff being so used to Stork.
Did you know ... nine out of ten mums can't tell the difference between Stork and butter.
There was something seriously wrong with the mums back then ... but only in Croyden.
You must have been posh cos we could only afford echo margerine. Triple yuk!

How can you say I'm weird?

It's not me who 'likes' butter! Yuk!

You only have to look at your avatar to see who the weird one is!

Ha!

So @nosher8355 if we held a buttercup to your chin there would be no yellow reflection then?

Ok, I know that is weird, just one of those daft things we did as kids.

Brunneria.

I want you to step into 010. Put your feet up, I will fetch you anything you ask for.

You informed me about green smoothies. I like them even more than butter.

Just wish I had taken notice of your signature before.

So I am nominating green smoothies, and Brunneria for a nice relaxing break in 010

Ooh, that is sooo lovely!

What did you have?

Tell me all about it!

Chucked some kale, banana, coconut milk, cucumber, an apple and frozen blueberries in. Used stick blender. Blender complained a bit, but I got a chewy thick drinkable drink. Quite filled me up and stopped me wanting cheese.

Maybe I will get the food processor out of the cupboard next time. Think it was the kale that made it chewy. Have a fridge full of all sorts of veg. Was thinking of putting some yellow beetroot and ginger in next one.

That's brilliant! Yum.

Be careful with the ice content. It can burn out blenders very quickly. But a very good tip is to freeze your greens. That way, they are always as fresh as a daisy, and they are so fragile that they will never damage the blender.

Ooh, I'm envious. The day I discovered green smoothies was a very happy day!

Didn't use ice. Frozen blueberries made it nice and cold. Think I am going to treat myself to a new blender. I deserve it.

@Brunneria, you have probably sorted my need to eat wrong things. I can fit smoothies into my Newcastle style dieting. You can stay in 010 for ever if you wish. I am your grateful servant.

OK wheres the green smoothies thread that I need to read ....

010 may never get as big as 101 but it looks as if its working, I can see folks enjoying the hot tub, snoozing on the sun loungers, the frothy coffee is going down a bomb, even the odd glass of wine being imbibed and the card free snacks enjoyed by all,

Would someone make sure Brunneria remains comfortable. I was just here to serve, so will be taking annual leave from tomorrow.

I'm fine thanks

* waving lazily from a corner of the hot tub *

Go and have fun.

Although I'm going to have to get up for work in a minute. Thank heavens it's Friday.

Do you believe in miracles, well maybe that's an exaggeration, earlier this week I went into our local Tesco and asked if they could stock Bergen bread, I was told there was no call for it so I asked if I could order one on a regular basis to be collected each Friday, they said they didn't think they could do it, and lo and behold the 3 people behind me said they would like to see it on sale as they had to go to another branch 11 miles away to get it, so they agreed to have 1 tray delivered to see how it went, Yesterday there it was so I grabbed some and when I got to the kiosk the girl said they had sold 3 trays of it and had had to order more, so it only goes to show that sometimes they do listen, so hats off to the sales team at Tesco.
