Room 101 (like the TV prog)

The last funeral I went to (thankfully 3 years ago), I bust a gut to wear black (not usually that... er... decorous), and was shocked to find people wearing very ordinary not-made-any-effort-at-all clothes.

One lady was wearing BRIGHT RED.

- but what am I thinking! So sorry! Who is the deceased? Is is the lady who was going into the hospice?
Very sorry for you all. How are the family coping?

Heh! Now you are just showing off your mastery of the colour font :D

Yes, it is Jean, my ex MIL , she died this week . We are all ok thanks, she lost conciousness for a week before the end so passed peacefully and painlessly which was a blessing.

You have a point though, about the appropriate clothing, it's been so long since I have been to a funeral I have no idea what to wear, I just know that my usual sludge coloured gear won't do. And my social life is next to non existent as far as variation goes, even in the local it's wall to wall sludge and smelly barbour with a dusting of dog hair on special occasions

Soooooooo cute if you don't want him send him my way
He is improbably cute, isn't he?
We were totally unprepared.
He has to be the cutest EVER member of the shih tzu race - and they are ALL cute.

He is going to look like a puppy for ever.
We have teenage girls screaming and throwing themselves across the road, through traffic, to meet him.

Poor Mr B goes pale at the thought. He was once terrorised by a gaggle of pre-teens, all wanting to cuddle him.

Edited: they wanted to cuddle the dog, not Mr B. I think. I hope.

Couldn't you go in a black onesie. I mean no one would notice? Would they? Most wear their nightclothes to walk around and with curlers in as well!
Haha, I thought that was just around here nosher.

Then I would dress for HER, not convention.

Would she like a black skirt?
And did she ever compliment you on something you wore?

Most of the so called pundits practice being condescending to the viewers!
I often turn the sound down especly on ITV. The swearing and shouting at the morons from my armchair, and I'm such a quiet chap!
So the pundits in then?

Excellent idea :)
And yes, she complimented me on the boots I wore to collect my Decree Absolute :D (She was lovely, and recognised her son was an ****)

Excellent! Sorted then!

(I have a friend who, to celebrate her 60th birthday, decided to go out and buy a pair of boots that were more 'age appropriate' than her usual black Clark's.)
Oh yes:

Ehh!
Wait for a conversation for hours then 3 come along at once!

@Heathenlass , sorry for the loss of someone you obviously had much respect for. What you wear to funeral will matter less than the memories you have of her.

Yes. Yes . Yes Lawro especially!
Thpson I can't really stand and the co commentator on ITV. He is so patronising.
The commentator on sky who is a big Liverpool fan really freaks me out! Alan someone or other. It is embarrassing at times!
