Yes but ground up not in seed form, it’s the whole seeds we have to avoid with diverticula disease (not taking account carb avoidance for controlling bs of course

Not store bought but I use this company on occasion, it’s a bit more expensive but I keep it in the freezer and use it now and again.
When I was diagnosed with this several years ago my gastroenterologist suggested I start eating seeds as they are the right kind of fibre that keeps everything moving through, and getting constipated was definitely not recommended.
I’ve had it for as long as I’ve had T2, was diagnosed both in hospital when I had bad infection and abscess (severe diverticulitis) diverticula is the disease diverticulitis is when it flares up and infection occurs. I have to admit that I can eat anything including seeds, nuts etc, everything they say I shouldn’t, I haven’t had a flare up for many years, if I get constipation even for one day I take sennacot to go the next day. I think my keto diet helps enormously to keep diverticulitis at bay
It's what is marketed as Fibrogel and is given to lots of people on prescription!
Hmm, I too have had kidney stones and yes was horrific pain, but I doubt the culprit of yours was psyllium husk, or indeed the bread at all. That, like a lot of low carb fibres are more likely to cause digestive issues such as diarrhoea and bloating and flatulence. Kidneys are a different part of the system altogether . Might just have been coincidence. Hope you stay well.
I was actually on it for a couple of years when first diagnosed with diverticula disease. Haven’t taken it for years but it kept me regular and smooth, I agree I doubt very much it was the 2 slices of bread because of the psyllium husk @buddyscott. Did the hospital say that’s what it was?
The dehydration is the key, and probably the cause of the kidney stones. Hope you've kept your fluid levels up ever since.
