The forum, yes. But this whole thread is about @RFSMarch March not wanting any more IF stuff rammed down his throat. And there was me thinking that the forum was about sharing what has worked for us..as I say in my post people change.. something that may have seemed completely outrageous suddenly can be found quite achievable. We are all n=1 experiments so without knowing what to try how can we expand our knowledge?
then SHE can of course ignore meThe forum, yes. But this whole thread is about @RSFMarch not wanting any more IF stuff rammed down his throat.
So you haven't tried it while following a low carb way of eating?
The reason I ask it that when I was eating carbage the thought of missing a meal for an hour would have sent me into a meltdown. Since embracing LCHF/Keto I find it easy to go without food for extended periods. It has been a quite unexpected benefit to running on fat.
So situations change as do people ..you often complain about non suitable food being available at the tournaments so to some who are fairly experienced at this an extended fast for a few hours would seem to be a very sensible suggestion until you can get to some more suitable fare.
Why should she have to ignore you, this is exactly the problem she put in her first post, people ramming their mantra down her throat when she doesnt want them to. It appears she cant even start a thread addressing that specific point, without people coming alone, suggesting trying IF differently, when she doesnt want to. On her own thread on the subject. What is wrong with respecting that request and decision?then SHE can of course ignore me
I certainly have no intention of ignoring you... but I have no intention of trying IF again. Sorry but I know it does not work for me, so I see no point in wasting my time and effort trying again.

I want to make LCHF a better part of my life as and when I can. If I can, then great. If not, well like IF I tried and couldn't make it work for me. Surely the exercise is to try something for the benefit of bringing my BG DOWN... if I lose a little more weight in the process then great but that is not my over-riding priority at the moment. I had to stabilise my weight at diagnosis because it had dropped sharply. Of COURSE I could do with losing a little more, but in a controlled fashion.
I have already gone through a huge change in my life changing my career in my 40s. I have had to adjust to a LOT of things... the variable, unpredictable nature of freelancing, the endless updates required to my site, keeping up with social media trends and using them... So... I am sorry if my 'complaints' frustrate you - feel free to put me on ignore if I frustrate you.
I made love to the wife 8 times last night and then got up early to go for a jog, came back and we made love again.
Now if I can just find another few guys to join me on this topic it could take off big time
Absolutely!Ah! Keyboard warriors and Facebook, what a combo
As my final word.. feel free to ignore if you will...
I get my lowest blood sugars when fasting.. always.
By fasting for a few extra hours each day you avoid causing an insulin response due to ingesting food. This (if your diagnosis of Type 2 is correct) will be of huge benefit to your overworked pancreas. This is the reason IF is recommended NOT for weight loss, although it may help. By eating in a reduced window you have fewer insulin spikes.. fewer glucose spikes so your blood sugar levels will come down. For you it may be inconvenient and feel like it is impossible however it sounds like you are doing it anyway when away from home.. Just maybe think about approaching it in a more positive way. For me (and yes I can only write from my personal experience) as well as reports from quite a few others on this forum it is a great addition to the arsenal when trying to control errant blood sugar levels. Good luck whatever you decide to do.
