On some medication Metformin plus blood pressure, plus type of statin.
Underactive Thyroid so on Levoxythyroxine as well.

I should know this but is there a simple overnight starting point for fasting. Dinner at 7pm then smallest breakfast at 10.00 am.?
I was advised to eat something with Metformin.

I just need to try a starting regime if I can have put on 8 to 10 lbs quite quickly in the hot weather. Need to shift a good few lbs (very overweight) just been reading how fasting can help.
Seeing Diabetic Nurse in 2 weeks not sure how I shall get on.
Going to check my blood test for Fatty Liver, some problems I have
can be Age,Diabetes Type2, (Underactive Thyroid), related.

Recently more tired, with some skin problems....trying to fathom out. Obviously if I could shift some weight would be beneficial.

I do wish the medical profession - and the media - wouldn't put everything down to weight! For years, I wouldn't go to the doctor because I was badly overweight, and I was convinced they'd tell me that my sore throat (or whatever) was because I was fat! I was at boarding-school, and whenever you had a problem you were asked if you were on your period, even if it was something like an ingrowing toenail; if you were, that was the problem, if not, then there was no problem!

Overnight fasting works well - don't eat anything after your evening meal until breakfast next day. And maybe try to put the one 30 minutes earlier and the other 30 minutes later? Many people do 16-8; all your meals in an 8-hour window. I can't do that, but I do try to do 14-10. Also, if you do eat carbs (many people limit them to the max), try to make them as low-GI as possible.

P.S. You are on almost the exact same medications as I am, only I also have to take a blood thinner and am on a trial of oral semaglutide, which aims to find out if it protects people with diabetes from strokes and heart attacks! I rattle....
