Oh for goodness sake! I eat carbs. I low carb (and low carb is less than 130g daily). They are not poison.
No worries.. I did start all this off so I should know where I put it..!Sorry BB. Just now noticed what you meant. Duh, must try hatder!
I also impressed upon my children the importance of a healthy diet and insisted that, like me, they should eat lots of fruit - oops!I've brought up 3 children who are all now adults and who have inherited my healthy attitude to food and nutrition.
or extremely helpful.. depending on your viewpoint..I hope this topic can now be put to bed because for any new member looking for information, it could be extremely misleading
So, let me get this straight. Carbs cause type 2 diabetes... Why am I type 1 then? And yes I know it's my ridiculous immune system attacking my beta cells and my beta cells being pathetic and not fighting back.
Anyway, I digress. I come from a family of carb monsters. Every day, for every meal we would eat carbs in one form or another. Why am I not type 2 diabetic?!
And being a type 1 you take insulin to manage your carb intake. A lot of us on this forum are type 2's who are desperately trying NOT to have our diabetes worsen so that in the end we are just like yourself i.e. depending on insulin to survive.Being a type 1 I need carbohydrates!
May I ask how you define the chips, potatoes, baked beans, mushies and occasional ice creams you mentioned you eat on a different post yesterday?
Which was kind of where I was coming from in the original post...Maybe we could all compromise with "carbs are like poison to me" ?
Can you give me a link to the original post so that I can go back and re-read this 'highly offensive' comment of yours?Which was kind of where I was coming from in the original post...
