I did a 10 min walk today and got tired. I have done my physio exercises and bits and pieces in house and garden, but I think that's probably my lot for today.

Soon Jamrox will be away so I won't have to worry about sicknotes!!! (not that I would really skive of course).:angelic:

The fact that you didn't enjoy the food is a good sign. Your taste buds are changing and you knew you shouldn't which will give you the strength to say no next time. Alcohol always puts weight on with me and for the last 3 weekends I have had 3-4 glasses of wine. I have maintained this week, lost 2lbs at the start of last week and put a 1lb on. I'm sure it's the wine so I'm going to knock it on the head this week even though I really enjoy it and see if that makes a difference! I am now 13 st 5 and still feel like a heifer!
Ah @Scandichic, 13st 5 is something I can only aspire to. you lucky lucky woman.

...aw zand, just have some R & R today [rest and relaxation,, not rock'n'roll] and let the family do whatever needs doing..

...borrowed my son's bike to get the feel of cycling again, oh my god I haven't done it for years, went for a ten minute ride, really enjoyed it didn't fall off once...felt quite safe as I was on the promenade not the road...have been looking at loads on the internet to get an idea of what I want..

...so that was a quarter of my exercise done, just a walk to fit in before I watch Federer being thrashed in the Wimbledon final..:D
Pollylocks, brilliant! Just wait til Bebo321 knows you have been cycling. She will have you for Team BG!

I am going to need to go out for a walk too! Hubbie and kids camped in youngest brothers garden. My hubbie camped with everyone's kids. I took other brother home and then the phone was ringing off the hook first thing. When are we going to get them all? I said ill just get brekkie but other brother decided he didn't want to wait so set off walking so I've been driving around trying to find him. Found him and collected everyone. My youngest was up from 3am so everyone in a foul mood. Hubbie now watching Tour de France so were all stuck with watching it! Going to be a fun day today
Head for the abandoned tent and have a quiet kip.

It's all relative isn't it? I read about people who are below 11st and feel quite envious! Still feel like the fattest mum when collecting the girls - they all look size 8-12 and the ones who are sz 12 are few and far between!

Why is this.now. I wake up at 6am but when. I was a teenager and in my early 20s I didn't surface till 11 at the weekends! I remember my mother hoovering at 8am on a Saturday to get me out of bed!
Sorry but it gets worse as you get older. By the time you get to a stage when you can afford really decent wine, your poor old body cannot take it.

Oh you are better than me , id be in there with the hoover haha

Nope, I just waited til mine left home then stripped the room to the bare plaster and refurbished and claimed it as my study, just in case he had any thoughts of returning.

Bet their kids don't have as much fun with their mums as yours do.

Aw, but those wind turbines. They spoil the countryside.

To be honest I don't mind them
The windfarm is massive and is a visitor centre too. Its off the beaten track but you can see them in the distance.

I know, I know, guilty as charged! But do they really make enough difference to justify their existence?
I am beginning to think it is not such a bad idea to be without the wifi from time to time. I have only had a 15 min walk so far today. Guessing exercising fingers on keyboard doesn't count? Ok I'm off. bit more walking, stretching physio, as not up to much more at moment.

Yes we have a daughter who kept returning through the revolving door. Doesn't need to live here now she has a successful career and a lovely partner. It is especially lovely when she comes through the door now as she likes to check on us oldies. She even does some housework.
They grow up in spite of us.
