@Jamrox Is it OK if I sign my own sick note today please?! I have done quite a bit of work in the house and greenhouse and have done my physio exercises (yuck) but just feel too lethargic to do anything else, so I'm not pushing myself to walk today.
Evening Zand!
Hope you feel better tomorrow! (((((Big hug)))))

It was this afternoon.
Kilmarnock was empty , lots of people on holiday this weekend

Even though it was probably a normal bag in terms of portion size I felt slightly sick afterwards so not looking to eat anymore anytime soon! Also had 3 glasses of wine and a G&T this week end.bs still bit odd.
You will get there with your weight we both just need to learn to be patient!
Yes @Scandichic we will both achieve what we need to. Sometimes I think we just need to forgive ourselves a bit more. So what if we slip up a bit? even though I know it must be scary for you at the moment with the erratic BG, you are doing so well. Hope you will get that checked out and sorted soon. BUT, don't blame yourself for going off the rails a bit with food. It is just a blip.
I am writing this for me too, as I need to heed that advice. Been feeling strange because although I am enjoying a break away, it is sort of emphasising the stuff I am not able to do but used to be able. So the risky behaviour I have indulged in has been eating and drinking the wrong sort of stuff that will cause weight gain.
Need to get focussed again. Especially as the 'forbidden foods' were not enjoyed at all..
Not sure about being patient. Had enough of hospitals!

Struggled with 40 today, feeling rather rough and peed off as it was such a lovely day, but I couldn't get out, but walked doing the shopping trolley leaning thing, 14 mins, 2x10 mins chair exercises, 12 mins Pilates. lots of sitting doing nowt in between, apart from a bit of ironing. @zand, I don't get what is so enjoyable about that.. will try harder tomorrow.

The fact that you didn't enjoy the food is a good sign. Your taste buds are changing and you knew you shouldn't which will give you the strength to say no next time. Alcohol always puts weight on with me and for the last 3 weekends I have had 3-4 glasses of wine. I have maintained this week, lost 2lbs at the start of last week and put a 1lb on. I'm sure it's the wine so I'm going to knock it on the head this week even though I really enjoy it and see if that makes a difference! I am now 13 st 5 and still feel like a heifer!

I have another friend who is on Valium at a low dose permanently as she gets terrible brain zaps when she tries to go off it altogether. As much as it is great what medicine can do for us, the downsides are often ignored.
I bet you really did buy Tinkerbell and the great fairy rescue!!

Ha ha ha!!!! She's gone back to sit on the Sainsbury's shelf, won't be rescuing her again..:joyful:

@zand hope you're feeling much better today, the ironing's still waiting to be collected..

If only I could! I am struggling to hold an iron for too long and I have heaps to do here. I'll let you know when I'm feeling better. :)

...aw zand, just have some R & R today [rest and relaxation,, not rock'n'roll] and let the family do whatever needs doing..

...borrowed my son's bike to get the feel of cycling again, oh my god I haven't done it for years, went for a ten minute ride, really enjoyed it didn't fall off once...felt quite safe as I was on the promenade not the road...have been looking at loads on the internet to get an idea of what I want..

...so that was a quarter of my exercise done, just a walk to fit in before I watch Federer being thrashed in the Wimbledon final..:D

I am going to need to go out for a walk too! Hubbie and kids camped in youngest brothers garden. My hubbie camped with everyone's kids. I took other brother home and then the phone was ringing off the hook first thing. When are we going to get them all? I said ill just get brekkie but other brother decided he didn't want to wait so set off walking so I've been driving around trying to find him. Found him and collected everyone. My youngest was up from 3am so everyone in a foul mood. Hubbie now watching Tour de France so were all stuck with watching it! Going to be a fun day today

22 minutes on bike so far. My bum went numb and I think I must have Los some padding from it as I could feel the seat. Will haul myself back on later when junior surfaces out of the pit of doom. It's weird having him home from uni.

lol the pit of doom........

It really is.. He crawls into bed at god knows what time then lies there all day on iPad till hunger forces him out. After he leaves I have to leave window open and wash everything just to get rid of the musty smell as he never opens curtains let alone window.

Yep mine is exactly the same..... and he's left uni and has been working for 2 years. His father just got him up to go to the tip with some rubbish because I can't lift heavy stuff at the moment!

Why is this.now. I wake up at 6am but when. I was a teenager and in my early 20s I didn't surface till 11 at the weekends! I remember my mother hoovering at 8am on a Saturday to get me out of bed!
