I'm not doing it on porpoise. I can't stop myself!! I'm in a manic mood and packing them in like sardines. I'm sat near the window sild, herring the church bells.

Church? Reminded me of another joke.

Two budgies sat on a perch.
One said to the other,
Can you smell fish?

Zander you reading this?

Starting to flounder now.

....45 minute walk yesterday and the same today...I'm getting used to this activity and quite enjoying it, I didn't at first!

Bbbut I do want to do more....I said about getting a bike a few weeks ago but I've done nothing about it apart from having a ten minute ride on my son's one and just going to look at them in Halfords....have always been very impetuous so didn't know why I wasn't this time till I thought about it....hate to admit it but I think I'm a bit scared, silly thing to be scared about... .. I haven't really ridden on a bike since my early teens and that was getting on for forty years ago......my friend at work has just bought one, loves it and is threatening to drag me to Halfords....

Polly - a couple of years ago, I fancied a bike for peddling to the local shop and village post office, but didn't want anything flash or too sporty. I put a local search into eBay and picked one up, from the same small village (walked there and peddled back) for under £20!!! Its immaculate; a lovely purple hybrid, so knobbly tyres and slightly heavier frame like a mountain bike, but otherwise quite straightforward. Of course, I use hardly an of it's 21 gears!! EBay could be worth a look - although, obviously best to look close to home. (Or Freedycle, if you have those where you live?)

Here we have folding mountain bikes, that cost a bit more, but are great for getting into the. Ack of the car, or taking on our sailing boat with us to explore when we visit new places.

I wouldn't call myself and excessively enthusiastic cyclist, but it has it's place.

I think Peacetrain has gone off for a lie down and my drugs are wearing off now.

Heavy rain today so no walking, 10 minutes on the rower but I'm still getting twinges in my back so I'm having to be careful.

You lot are skating on very thin ice....

12 mins so far on bike, then 20 mins shower dodging in Maryport. Back on bike when tea settles.

Less of the fish jokes please! Stop carping on about it! :D
Just walked to Tescos to get pepper for sausage and Puy lentil casserole! Probably will need to go for walk afterwards! To walk off my chub! Sea you all later!
