Thank you so much Lamont D. Only started testing yesterday night, i got diagnosed in late February and finding the mood swings and hunger after food difficult at the moment also not sleeping too good and feel really tired all the time. Im also a fussy eater, all the things i like make me feel ill potatoes pasta and rice but apart from chicken thats basically all i like to eat oh and bread ) suffering is the word at the moment )
It's those sorts of food that are making you hungry, and feeling ill. The chicken is fine, but not the potatoes, pasta, rice and bread. These are all major carbs, and carbs make you hungry soon after eating.
Do you like bacon and eggs, with fried mushrooms, plus a tomato and maybe a sausage? (The 97% meat sausages are low in carb. If so, that is a good idea for breakfast or lunch.
As today is Sunday, I will be having a Sunday roast (lamb today) but only 2 small pieces of roast spuds and very little gravy.
Do you like tinned fish? (salmon, tuna, mackerel etc). That makes a nice lunch with cherry toms and cheese, and plenty of real mayonnaise, or instead of the tinned fish, 2 boiled eggs mashed up in mayo? Or eggs cooked any which way - omelette, scrambled, boiled.
Do try the Lidl high protein rolls if you have a Lidl near you. Sliced in half and toasted with plenty of butter is the way I eat them. Half a roll completely fills me up.
