Type of diabetes
I reversed my Type 2
Treatment type
Diet only
So I just got back from DN with a 37mmol.

Just wanted to say a thank you to everyone on here for for helping me gain a better understanding of my condition and allowing me to hash out ideas on here.

When I came in here I had one plan drain my liver of fat. :bookworm:
I read this is how you reverse T2 so every thing has been geared towards this one concept.

To everyone who joined in on the discussions thank you.
A special thanks to those of you who allowed me to pick your brains, some might call it pester, in the private messages. ;)

Well done and please tell everyone (even cats) but especially the medics what you've done to achieve this turnaround!

Your avatar reminds me of Darth Maul - love it and your result.

Congrats - that's brilliant! What was your method?
Hi eggs,
All I can say is this worked for me,
I've been here long enough to know that it might work for some others too, but not everyone is in the same boat.

Found out I was diabetic and all I realy understood was this means our bodies can't handle sugar.
So I stopped eating sugar it seemed to make sense to me.

In 4 months I had gone down from XXXL to M.
This was not some cunning plan on my part just what happened all by itself.

At Xmas I was given the blood sugar diet book so in February I read it. :bookworm:
I liked what I read, until I got to the picture of baked beans for breakfast and I was out. (Dragon's den style) :meh:

2 very interesting ideas in the book were lose weight to drain the liver of fat and reduce Insulin Resistance in muscles. I had already lost the weight. So I focused on the IR to reduce the livers work load aspect. SO I came in here and started asking questions. The idea was to do anything I could to help the liver perform more effectively.

Simple things like
  • low carb & less fruit to take the strain of the liver.
  • raw veg and magnesium to help the liver recover.
  • muscle activation to lessen the impact of bg on the liver.
Even something as simple as going to bed early if you look back on my first posts some of them are at 4-5am that was not unusual for me, now I'm heading to bed around midnight.

@Mick1959 and anyone else I would be happy to do a deep on exactly what I did an the science to back up why it works. But this post is a thank you to everyone else I realise I did not get here all by myself. ;)
