I just wanted the say 'thank you' really to this forum. Diagnosed with Type 2 a few months ago, and reading through here has helped me tremendously. I have lost 20kgs, have a relatively normal blood sugar level now it seems and am going for the HBa1c test in two weeks to hopefully see if things have improved.

Fingers crossed for you but I bet you won't need it!

Well done you - let us know your hbaca1 result when you get it sounds promising though. Sure your efforts will pay off.

Good luck for your test. Do come along and let us know. We all love success stories, and your weight loss is terrific. :)

Very well done! Good here isn’t it? All the best for your test. Let us know how you get on.

My Hb1AC started at 81 when diagnosed in February and the result today is 44. So good, but not “normal” still sadly.

Very well done @boxst, that’s an impressive drop! Keep up the good work.

Brilliant job.. I hope your HCP's were suitably impressed as it seems that very few can do as you have and take control.
Well done for taking control over your own health!

Thank you very much. I haven't seen any HCP's. I saw a doctor to get diagnosed a few months ago after the NHS check-up thing then ignored the medicine advice, looked on the internet and went back and asked for another blood test after I'd lost lots of weight and stopped eating 'bad' carbs. I went today and got the blood test results (myself from reception) and I'm assuming they will ask me to come in and discuss them at some stage but again internet is my friend :)
