    For me and @rab5 @wiflib @Goonergal @ickihun @Mbaker @HarrisonK
I think that's everyone who said they wanted to do it.
I have had my last meal tonight but feel free to join in whenever you want and fast in whatever way you like.
I'm aiming for friday evening will come back with some figures in the morning cos its time for bed and I do all the numbers when I get up anyway.

    See you all tomorrow

    Sweet pre-fasting dreams

    Thanks @bulkbiker

I’m starting after dinner tonight and aiming for 48 hours, which would be a first for me.

    Me too @Goonergal
Guys I'm starting tonight. I have my sons tea-party bang in the middle but will leave my piece of birthday party cake wraped up in fridge for my completion prize.
Normal suspects of pastries, chocolate, buscuits and ice cream goodies which I no longer crave. In fact I didn't even buy.

See you all tomorrow for my starters orders.
Soooo busy today. Have hospital appointment for my back assessment with a more senior physio later. Gulp!

Just want to add there's absolutely no need to publish your numbers if you don't want to but anyone who has read my posts should know by now that I'm a bit of a data freak..

    Healthy competition does hurt anyone.

I only have 2 ketone test strips so may not test ketones til nearer completion.

All in the name of science, eh?
I just want to prove to myself I can do it, still. Its been a long time.
Although when I had my heart scare I had no food for 24hrs. Hospital monitored blood pressure and bgs. I was too busy trying to calm my fast heart beat down. Pre increased betablocker. My bgs were in 5s and 6s due to my basal insulin.
I was hungry but could have gone longer as wasn't well.

As long as I'm taking my meds and supplements I'll be OK.

I wonder why when ill everyone goes off eating. Maybe energy is needed to get well? I wonder.

Ps. I will do a quicker basal test too. Another advantage to this.

Their site suggests they would send to the Czech republic? Maybe email them and ask to get an idea of costs?

Thinking about you all starting your fasting marathon I was reminded just now of a very ancient TV soap opera program (http://www.turnipnet.com/whirligig/tv/adults/other/grove.htm), featuring the Grove family, and Grandma Grove had a favourite complaint: "I'm faint frorm lack of nourishment!" which for our family became a sort of hunger catch phrase. I'm wondering now how long it will be before someone feels that way but I'm obviosly asking way too soon.

So a morning of china tea - 2 mugs and taking up a newly laid floor to try and find a leak as well as a trip to the dump and now I need a coffee (with double cream of course).
Just did another blood 5.1 down from 5.6 this morning.

I’m starting tonight but without my usual bone broth, I’ll muddle through. I was going to start this morning but absentmindedly eating some chicken at a brunch club I run put paid to that!

Just back from work, I last ate at 4am and I have to say it's been a hard slog at work. I got really tired around 1pm. My bg started off at 5.4 and rose to 6.1 by 1pm, just took them and I'm back to 5.2. I have no ketone measuring gear though and my weight is 101kg.

Fast time so far = 13 hours

Oh, todays intake at work was black coffee and volvic water :)

Very tempted to join, just recovering from viral infection, and on steroid meds.
Giving it a few weeks, and maybe start a May or June fasting group. Steroids play havoc with blood glucose and weight, so intervention required. Will stock freezer with bone broth in preparation.
Will be cheering the rest of you from the sidelines in the meantime.
