This site has been slowing down for a while now, but it's got SO SLOW that I can't be bothered posting (after this one at least!) It's not my PC or my broadband which is fine on all other sites. Is this being looked at?
We had a HUUUGE number of people jump on the site + forum today which brought it to a bit of a grinding slowdown. It's been sorted now though. Any problems like this, please contact us and let us know!
Customer helplines that use recorded menus that promise to put me through to the right person but never do - and being ill. Oh, and did I mention customer helplines :)
It got so bad earlier, nothing was moving before it crashed, so I wrote to the parent company, Sitefinders Net Ltd. Maybe they will be able to clear the dross out and add capacity.
Its sort of the same at my end too ... cursor is not stable and page takes ages to change when moving from section to section.
Although it has just this minute, improved. Something is unstable in the server!
I wonder if they might have had a "Denial of Service" attack yesterday (where a malicious person tries to overload the server with random requests). That would cause the kind of issues we had yesterday...
The site was very slow again at 2.30ish today. Seems better now, but was giving SQL errors and stating too many connections and not managing to get to the Boards. Thought I'd post in case Admin is around and needs to know!
