Of course you do @wannabemammy. I hope that after all that it really is good news.

as for me well the nausea is hitting at the most inconvenient times, otherwise things are going well. I don't know when I'm getting my scan yet, but I have my booking in appointment on 20th.

Hi girls so my results came back at 59. Was disappointed I was hoping for 53. I got my freestyle libre today though so I'm praying it makes all the difference and I get my 53 by this time next month!my doctor said if I even get close to that she will give me the go ahead! So that's the plan anyway!

The waiting is the worst!

How was the nausea today?your levels doing ok? X

You're one step closer to the go ahead though! *hugs* I do understand how frustrating the wait is! Although not to worry you but that's just the first step.

The nausea today seemed a bit better, and my levels have been better this evening and were high this. Morning :(

The levels my doc gave me yesterday was to aim for between 4-6 fasting and pre meal however I woke up with them over 7 (I know that doesn't seem by high, but it is out of the range the doc gave me to aim for). However they were within range both before and after my meal this evening (4.4-4.9) so there wasn't too much to worry about.

I'm type two so things may be somewhat different, but whatever type we have this is no picnic for any of us. However we will be ok, and we will have our rainbow babies.

Hello, @wannabemammy shame it isn't where you wanted exactly but it is so close! Next time I am sure you will nail it, especially with the libre! best of luck! I have my next HbA1c in August too, fingers crossed. Although I have a horrible feeling that it may well be in range but they will say it is because of all the lows I have had recently and not give me the go ahead this time around... We will have to wait and see. I had to do a pregnancy test yesterday because my DN thought I may be, due to the constant low sugars for about a week. It was negative - which is actually a good thing as I have just been put on medication that causes birth defects so have been told to categorically not fall pregnant whilst on it. Phew, was such a relief to see a not pregnant sign, the only time I will be happy for that!

Glad everything is going well for you @RoseofSharon, keep up the good work with those sugars

At the moment... artex ceilings. Also the concrete patio.
Okay, I am going to start with a little disclaimer - I understand and fully support the requirement to control blood sugars and maintain a recommended HbA1c before trying to conceive.

There I've said it. But I hate hate HATE the fact that we somehow need to have permission to have a baby. I realise I am having a little tantrum here but it's just not bloody fair. Other women don't have to do this. For them, conception is a beautiful thing and a decision made between them and their partners. It does not involve consultants and hospitals and tests and tests and tests. Other women don't have to have their numbers scrutinised every fortnight like you're trying to pass some sort of exam. They don't have mini melt-downs each time they are out of range (nor do they even have a range!). Sorry, I don't know if I can do this for another 3 months. And just let me throw my toys out of the pram, get it off my chest and say it's not fair. :(

*hugs* I know how unfair it seems, however on the flip side, because I was trying to conceive before my diagnosis I had no support, and no referrals other than the infertility specialist, after nearly three years of trying. The midwives have just informed us that we've likely had another early loss, so it's back to the drawing board for us - however I am going to insist on having diabetic side of things done properly now! It's just heartbreaking to keep going through this.

Don't! You're feelings of frustration are just as valid as mine of loss! I didn't post to make anyone feel bad, I just wanted to give a different perspective. We each live with the cards we're dealt. The time now is for me to hit the books and see if there's anything that can be done/changed in order for next time to be successful. The first thing I can do is focus on keeping that control even tighter, as for a while I was floundering even what figures I should be aiming for. There are certain areas that I feel my doctors failed me on, but I need to regroup and carry on.

@RoseofSharon did you get any official news yet?xxx

@Postitnote you just described how I feel every single day! I've been with my now husband 14 years and spent many years in my early 20's avoiding getting pregnant, now I want to and cant because of my dumb diabetes! And if one more person tells me I'm not getting any younger (I'm 31!) I'll let rip! It's horrible, but this thread has helped me so much mentally in that I get support I need that only another diabetic can give! Anytime you need to vent do it!coz we are all with you and completely get where yu are coming from.are you far off your target?

Ok so my update: Drs want to give me methotrexate to flush everything out as my hormone levels haven't risen fast enough for their liking. Personally I'm not so sure and want to avoid methotrexate as its a form of chemotherapy. I made the decision a long time ago that should I ever get the dreaded cancer I would not have chemo. To use it now just does not sit right with me, not t mention that I'm not convinced that the pregnancy isn't viable.... (Somehow I think that ectopic to be very unlikely now).

@RoseofSharon , I had an MMC a couple of years ago so not quite like you but I wasn't given anything to "flush everything out". Unless they are 100% the pregnancy is not viable then I'm with you..

Thanks to others being kind about my little tantrum. I'm 24+2 and little Bean is doing well so far.

@Amy.W is there anything you could do to try take your mind off it? I'm not one for breathing exercises or anything but it might be something worth trying! It totally consumes your mind though.

I wouldn't take anything either (unless it was a medical necessity). Can you just wait and see? Surely as long as there's no risk to you that'd be ok?
