That would never happen.
The interrupter is to the starter motor, wich would not engage to crank the engine.. I wouldn't affect actual switch loom to the engine. Which would kill the power & cut the fuel pump?

The car would just not start. Just like an aIt-theft alarm imobilizer with unauthorised entry. But in this case BG being too low to drive. Removing any doubt as to intention to drive.

It was quite a positive experience with Dexcom and it made a huge difference in catching levels above and below a certain point. Sometimes it doesn’t work like losing signal or sensor errors. I am moving away from Dexcom & getting the guardian sensor 3 to do the looping with my pump.
 
All these doggies are making me want to feed them extra treats, they might become overweight because of me.
 
2nd consecutive hectic weekend with more socialising, the return of bugs and germs to Main Paid Workplace decimating both staff and students attendance today, trying to catch-up here (and failing to keep up, I think, but I've got the gist) and I think all I really should be doing is having an early night after putting the bins out.

Usually for me in winter, I've just lowered my basal as I've been in hypo-city more often than I like for a few days now. Either that or I've been unusually active as well.

Or it's the socks. Always blame the colour of my socks if they're not matching my t-shirt. (No, I don't know why either, all I know is it is so.)

Welcome to anyone new to the thread, and love and hugs as required for the rest of you. Not that anyone new can't have love and hugs if that's what would make you welcome.

I know nothing about looping.. Would I be correct in thinking the sensor sends an algorithm to the pump pending on direction of BG drop or rise & status of blood sugar levels & the pump actions a dosage acordingly.?

@Shannon27 , can you eee where I'm going with this....?
 

Yes, you are indeed correct. Extra Jaffa cake for you
Medtronic 670G aims to get your BG around 6.7 if I remember correctly. Before you hit 3.9, the pump will suspend and if you are running high, it’ll increase your basal or do micro boluses to get you back in range. However it’ll only send you out of auto mode when you’ve exceeded the amount of micro boluses, it’ll tell you to do a BG and you would have to do a manual bolus to correct. (I think or something to that effect from friday’s lesson)
 
I was welcomed with open arms and a very sharing community on this thread. This thread has always been for T1's to talk to each other and banter and understand what we have all been going through. Just to chat among ourselves, make friends, keep in touch.
I have ended up solely on this thread at times because it was always a safe haven. People almost always nice.

Reaching out to help others on other threads is a battle half the time and some people are very bullying when I say anything about vegetarian foods or anything that's not low carb and this is one thread that was always non judgemental.

But now I am having a hard time judging what I am allowed to say? Can we be pleased be allowed to go on as we always have or I fear more of us will be leaving?

I'm sorry, people are trying to go on, but it keeps being difficult.....................

Yes that's correct but only for basal dosages. The next model that has been developed will also give correction dosages as well. My pump normally reduces any small over dosing that I might have done.
 
I too, fear the future of this thread. I remember couple of months ago, I had nowhere to turn after my hypoglycaemia accidents. Everyone here was giving me, what I’d call internet hugs and you guys loved me when I couldn’t even love myself. I hope our friends will return. This is a nice thread outside of type 1 diabetes, sometimes asking someone “how are you?” is enough to bring them out of a rough day.
 

It's the action for "suspend" is what would be of interest.. Can the lower limit be raised & set a little higher?

@Shannon27 we may have found our "box of tricks" to operate the relay.. (Or something on that principle?)
Lol, wheather it would work on a 12v system is debatable. I don't think it could handle the 5v? Engine managment loom..
 

The rep said the BG range cannot be changed, auto mode is set at 3.9-10 but aims to get you around 6.7. I think it’ll be interesting to see the suspend in action.
 
It also suspends when it sees a sharp rate of decline so its not just only used for a low of 3.9.
 
Good news, my dogs teeth that she had pulled seems to have made a huge difference in her blood sugars, we are now greatly reducing her insulin and getting some sleepless nights because of it.

She was up to 58 units a day sometimes and we are now using 31 units and she still tried to crash last night. We thought we finally had the dose figured out...................but I guess she is still adjusting and will need less! The teeth were not infected, but I guess a lot of inflammation.

Now you mention Galaxy come to think of it very very naughty for us type 1s and you do know I’m a tad naughty once in a while (tee hee hee)

Another thought is when we went to see the puppies there were 3 and the breeder had named them (just in her head to tell them apart) after chocolates
