Morning all, just been for a decent walk with my puppy who, even though she's not nine months yet, is HUGE. It's hard to keep remembering that she isn't grown up and treat her accordingly. She's very good except for coming back......

Bg where they should be, nothing else to report - no toad licking here
 
Toads on toast or mushrooms, I’m really hoping it was mushrooms.
 
How ever you pronounce SCONE it is GONE......................................................I've eaten it, with Cream and Jam, and to stop the jam before cream and vice versa argument, I put cream on first to one half, and jam first on the other half and put them together
 
Hello friends,

Work was quite tiring and I had two infusion sets pop off, either due to heat and sweat or my belly folds were not having it. The residents that I looked after were quite friendly and not too fussy. But one of them was just in a bad, bad mood, she tried to attack me and she wasn’t cooperating (it took us over an hour to get her dressed for lunch) Luckily she didn’t get her nails into me because my reaction or reflex time was quick. Tbf I can relate to her, I’d stay in bed all day long too

Not worried anymore than when I venture out on the roads and risk being involved in an accident, or going up the gym and having a heart attack, or tripping over and banging my head, or being attacked by a rabid dog. And if I worried about those things I’d probably die of panic and stress.
Coronavirus can’t be ignored. If I get it then I’ll see what happens. Type 1 ain’t killed me yet so this virus is gonna have to be pretty darn good if it thinks it can get the better of me.
 
I've stocked up on Rizzlas and brown basmati rice, got a couple of kg porridge and the freezer's holding chicken breast, bog roll's thin on the ground but I've got a mashoosive tub of Swarfega in the shed so am good for hand cleaner, May to June the peak's expected and it's 50/50 if you catch it or not. (let's hope not)

I'm guessing sick bay rules will be applied, remember Tresiba lasts longer than the rest so if you need to up that then expect to trend low as you get better, don't dehydrate and don't be afraid to bolus if you're trending high, but Tony's post is how I'm thinking too...

Edit, scones, I always take the opposite view, they say 'scoan' I say 'sconn' and vice versa
 
Deep gloom on Planet Japes after going for the annual bloodletting prior to annual meds review. Fantastic GP has left the practise and the only choice of GP for patients with diabetes now is a GP who just told me I had to expect my (then) T2 diabetes to progress and clearly I wasn't doing enough with diet and exercise at the point when I had lost half my body weight, cut out all carbs and walking 8 - 10 miles a day... not sure which bit of that wasn't enough with a spiraling out of control Hba1c and bloods which refused to go under 15 for 4 months. (All those self-funded test strips were worth their weight in gold as I could prove to the hospital what was going on!)

Time to do what I threatened after that debacle - and change practice. Once the annual review is done by one of the nurses since I outright refused to see the "specialist" GP for the review and the medication is renewed for another year.

In the meantime, the end of term can't come fast enough, (we're kind of anticipating an early end of term for students, though - but it's all a bit watch this space) I'm ready for church stuff to be very minimal, if not cancelled.
