Type 1'stars R Us

Morning all.
I am winning at BGs at the moment 100% in range on Xdrip. Libre is around 2 mmol below, I can live with that

I'd say to get it shifted now, if you wait for n weeks the likelihood of it being moved reduces and becomes less and less likely as the time passes, which writing it reminds me of some 'bad payers' on my window cleaning round

Outside door open, insides closed, stay out of the room for 30 mins afterwards and wipe maybe but good luck.

"It's a swindle"

Assuming they only played there the once, husbeast was at that gig

Morning all, bit of a spike while baking yesterday, I suspect I inhaled some icing sugar. Made rock cakes and brownies for my crew, and some keto brownies for me, which are quite nice. I’ll pop them over to the station in a bit.

Is your station anywhere near Newport? Just asking

I actually saw the original line up in the mid 1990s they played two dates? Finsbury Park? "Filthy lucre" tour? And a festival I was at in the West Midlands... Headlining on a Sunday night. (From memory Bowie was on Friday, Bjork on the sat.) Steve Jones had been in LA hanging out with Axl Rose & at some point he grew his hair & covered "did you no wrong" with the G&R frontman??

Now that SP show was mental..
I was expecting to see an under-rehearsed shambles. But they were actually well polished & John was as edgy as ever..
Old punk dad's with thier teen Nirvana wearing tee offspring tore the pit up.. Great family night.

Hi all, last puppy class today, the rest are cancelled ufn. Only three of us turned up anyway. It's all starting to feel quite surreal; the few busy roads round here are quiet, the only places that seem busy are supermarkets. Friends who are self-employed/sole traders are seriously worried; even if they do work that involves little or no contact with others, people are not renewing contracts or looking for anyone to do work as most people are concerned about money.

In my very small village people have mobilised very quickly and systems are in place for anyone wishing to offer/avail themselves of help when needed. The majority of people are over 50 if not 60, but it's a fit and active community. Let's hope it stays that way.

Bg running a bit high; stress of my dog suddenly refusing to get in the car again, having decided she would previously. Two steps forward, one step back.......

Crisis! What crisis??? The garage I work at is soooooo busy at the moment, probably busier now than a few weeks ago. Booking in vehicles for next Wednesday at the earliest!

Maybe getting your car fixed/serviced/whatever is a bit like buying loo rolls

I've heard there's going to be shortage of windscreen washer fluid - especially if people find out it's a Covid killer.

(That is a joke by the way - for anyone reading)

Hmmm, the rain had me socially distanced today, apart from 2 shop trips and running the youngest to a friends as her school is off today for an inset day, probably quiet in the gym so I should really socially distance myself there for an hour shortly, a double moussaka for tea with a large pot of humus @ around 80g carbs but I did have a bigger lunch

I've 2 Cravendale green top milks outside in a bucket

Psssssst! (looking over his shoulder(whispers)) do you wanna buy some screen wash......its not diluted....pure as the day it was bottled

@slip I cycled in and it was quiet, the market too. I kept my distance when waiting as I'd seen the French do. Signs in the food shops there asked for people to wait outside until someone left, very sensible.
Didn't touch any people @Fairygodmother.
Just felt that an open air market was less............... dangerous.
I was in the garden this afternoon being a little less sloth-like

Is that the blue stuff? or have you got any green???

Got whole meal buns in Lidl’s this morning. No gyms/pools or indeed any council run places open here in Leeds for the next two months at least.

@Robinredbreast Our monthly cleaners due Friday and we were talking whether we should still have her here. We finally decided I will text her that we are staying in house now to keep safe and want to make sure she’s not sick or been exposed to anyone sick. We texted someone last Saturday the same thing and they completely understood.

OOPS it's @Fairygodmother about the cleaning!

Everything around here has started the close down mode. They have requested restaurants to take out seating and tourists please don’t visit . That’s a huge deal here. No gatherings, schools closed etc.

We have many wonderful knowledgeable people on this thread, so hopefully you can advise.

If the food shortages become a reality and we are having to eat much less how will this impact our type 1 diabetes. I typically eat around 120 g of carbs a day. If I end up going down to say 50 g of carbs per day, apart from taking less insulin, how this impact my body, apart from losing a few pounds, which would be no bad thing

@smc4761 there is no indication of there being a food shortage at all. At the moment, it's demand surpassing the delivery and that's because people are being silly. A bit like Christmas time when people buy more than they need because the shop is going to be closed for a day.
